Every day for the last month, I have received a helping hand endorsement. Every day when I am at work someone goes to my profile and gives me a helping hand endorsement. I am not sure who it is or why they do this. I am confused. This even happens on days when I log into my account but do not play any tournaments. It has changed my endorsement ratio significantly.
Does anyone know who is doing this or why? Has anyone else had a similar experience? I am all for giving and receiving endorsements at the table, but this feels excessive.
Very strange dilemma, you have. I believe the Helping hand endorsement is the best one can receive, however yes it can distort the ratio quite a lot if happens daily. As you probably know anyone who played a hand with you that day can go back & replay hand to endorse. Either they really think you are always helping others or just messing with you.
Only the person giving the endorsement and Replay would have the answer as to whom.
Hopefully the person will inform you privately and why

It’s worst one. It’s the one that people (ab)use to insult you - as in thanks for being a loser.
The whole endorsement system is a fail. People use them just to get the endorsement money and the percentages on the profiles are useless. Someone with 50%/30%/20% could just as easily be some rude noob maniac as a regular respected pro. Besides that, most players show respect to one another with simple ‘gh, nh, vnh, gb, ty’ and ‘gg’ anyways, which makes the endorsements redundant. The system is not well thought out and thoroughly abused. It should just be scrapped.

I agree. plus a group of friends can sit at a table daily and endorse each other just so they can keep their rank or improve their rank. then they collect a much higher endorsement drop.
I want to earn my chips by playing tournaments sit n go’s and making the payouts. playing ring games and leaving a table with more chip than I sat with. not by clicking on a endorsement and receiving endorsements and then getting endorsement drops. that not earning chips.
I’ve always felt endorsements feel very childish/kindergarten
seriously??? it is 25 chips lol and you are allowed to endorse only so many

I would like to be able to endorse players as a spectator and not only while playing on their table Its only possible to endorse players you are playing against.when will we be able to endorse as a spectator
Replay can keep endorsements or not, don’t really care.
They should eliminate the Helping Hand endorsement since it’s always most definitely a diss, doesn’t feel good at all. I’m decent at playing, certainly not a pro, always feels bad when I get a helping hand endorsement for no apparent reason except I didn’t play a hand or two very well.

I know that endorsements won’t be scrapped (like they should), since I’m sure it’s all some developers (ugly) baby (sorry, true), but if they have to stay, three things:
1 ~ Get rid of the helping hand. It’s nothing but a troll diss, epic fail.
2 ~ No chips for endorsements, giving or receiving. This is abused for chips among friends and it’s silly.
3 ~ Change the endorsement counts so that you may only give one endorsement of each type to any player. No multiple endorsements to the same player. If you endorse someone pro, you can’t endorse them pro again. If you endorse someone pro and Good sport, you can’t ever endorse them again, unless you remove your endorsement. Then instead of the percentages on the profile page, put ACTUAL COUNTS. This way instead of some noob and some long time respected player both having 75%/25%, we can actually see noob with 12 and 4 endorsements and pro with 3000 and 1000 over time.

I don’t believe you can give more than 1 endorsement to a player. Personally i don’t see why everyone is making a big deal out of endorsements lol

I didn’t realize this would turn into an anti endorsement chat. I am okay with endorsements personally. I just hope that they aren’t skewed. If you could see how many of each endorsement a given player has (assuming each endorsement is from a separate player), you might get some insight into your opponent at a table. Are they friendly? Skilled? ect.
just not gonna get that insight. not when you can endorse players absolutely no reason at all. the helping hand endorsement was meant to be for when you help someone. like answering a question they had. players have used it for other reasons.
also a bunch of friends can just go to a table, play a few hands and just endorse the heck out of each other to boost ranks and then get a huge chip dump each month. why? just cause you click
on endorsement.
IMO the system is not a fail as you mentioned and has been a great method of recognizing fellow players in the past.
The fail is as you mentioned, people abusing the system is the failure to the system.
