This topic is for players who wish to share a special winning tournament or hand moment or even a really bad beat !
I started with a bankroll of 20k play chips. In about 1 month I hav3 grinded that up to about 800k, playing only MTT’s.
I have won 3 tournaments, cash about 26% of them. The 20k American Special 2.5 GTD win came after about a 7,8,9 tournament in a row bad run, LOTS of Bad beata, and Bad Beat knockouts at the hands of Donks.
I was bad beat 3 times early tournament, and about 7 total bad beats in the tournament that won. After the first few bad beats I trippled up, built a big stack, and the GIGANTIC stack I had overcame 4 more bad beats, before going on to win.
This was sometime after getting bubbled out of the 20 mil GTD replay marathon grand final by a Donk
Congrats on your perseverance and success!
Thanks. I think its helpful to show what skilled, good, winning players go through, and how they go thru A LOT of BAD BEATS, BAD RUNS, AT THE HANDS OF DONKS, etc, but despite that, they continue to win, cash tournaments, be successful despite that, by not tilting, by staying focused by not quiting, and by keep on grinding, etc.
Too many players think its just luck, or that its rigged, or that its not possible, that they and others cant do it, etc, and things like this show that it is skill, that its not rigged, that it is possible, probable, that it can be done eventually over the long twrm, etc.
Thats why I like it when you, and other good players, do the same as this thread, post, etc, and remind people.
Check my thread on 1 BILLION CHIPS, me and @Pos111 just posted some results data. I think Pos is a very strong tournament player, and I think I’m pretty OK. Neither of us winning at too crazy a rate—kind of illustrates your point…
Finished 5th in American Prime for 120k in the 20k buy in, 2.5 mil GTD.
2nd in 20k buy in 1.2 Mil GTD, Oceans Wave tournament for 264k cash. Now at 1,240,000 million + milestone.
Congrats on crossing 1M!
Thanks Younguru.
Congrat’s & hope you reach your next goal. Always have fun & gl at the tables
Thanks Litenin
Won the PKO 7.5 buy in 500k GTD
6th in 20k buy in for 63k.
Then in the 50k buy in 1.5 mil guaranteed, after a 4,5 tournament bad run of consistently either Donks donk limping monster hands on limp happy passive tables, tournaments, and slowplaying to river on extremely wet, drawy boards, begging to be beat by straights, flushes, causing me to lose a lot, be crippled, bust out, etc, and trainwreck coolers, etc, then on top of all that:
In the 50k buy in 1.5 mil GTD, PKO. First hand. I have AA, 22 Donk raises to 4 bb preflop in semi early position, after a couple limp ins. I reraise to about 400. 77 flat calls. 22 DONK reraises 250 bb deep 5k starting stack all in. I call with AA, 77 makes bad call but at least semi understable, more ok, etc.
22 Donk butlucks quad 2’s and out I went first hand, after 4,5 tourny bad run, and now up to 5,6 tourny bad run.
Guess have to go up to million chip buy in, 100 mil GTD tournaments to not be up against such DONKS, as clearly Donks are playing in 50k+ high stakes buy ins.
Lets go for the 6th, 7th, 8th tournament in row of DONKNESS, by DONKS, and for a encore, next time reraise 500 bb deep starting stack all in, with 72 off, to really show off your DONKNESS, just like did last time with 22.
I would enjoy your posts more if you didn’t go on and on about DONKS, it’s pretty distracting/annoying tbh <3
Like we get it, people play badly and get lucky, it happens to all of us. It’s not worth a detailed description every time it happens.
You do realize the title, and forum moderator say that this thread is for anyone, everybody, anybody, etc, that wants to post either TOURNAMENTS VICTORIES, CASHES, NEAR MISSES, BAD BEATS, ETC.
2nd in 50k PKO 2.5 mil GTD. 3rd in 50k PKO 1.5 mil GTD. Now up to 1,625,000
I’m not trying to tell you what you HAVE to do; of course you are free to keep posting just as you have been. I am just offering some feedback about something that makes what would otherwise be very enjoyable posts to read, a little annoying, personally. Take it or leave it
Congrats on your ongoing progress and recent successes!
