I was eight and my parents taught me. They played bridge and when the guests brought kids, we played poker.

I first started playing poker when I was21.
The games then were mostly hi-lo variations ( firey cross Chicago etc.)
A was a little nippa when I flopped a little rippa, A, K, Q gave a fright, and then it filled me with delight. Cause, you see, I had J, 10, I nearly weed meself again! Then Queenie brought concern, she showed her knickers on the turn. But I pushed that voice right back again, I squeezed me cheeks and went “All In”. Well blow me down and timber me shiver, you’ll never guess what turned up on the riva. Triplets! I’m stunned. Face in disbelief. Now there was a new reason to pucker them cheeks. And with no plays to make and nothing to bet, I watched in horror as Gertie showed out with a SET!!!
There is my story. It may or may not be true. I’ve been losing ever since
I think they had just invented poker chips from stones and playing cards from birch bark numbered with nut oils when I started playing… just sayin’…
Istarted play poker online when i was 18, on university…
I started playing Texas Western for loose change around 16 and I’m now 62 after winning all the money at the table, Another man and I were the last 2, I got all of his change. Then the last hand was for his gallon jar he kept his change in, I had to have something to put all the change in which was around 2 hundred dollars in quarters dimes and nickels. After that night into early morning I started playing every chance I got…

They call you “Lady Luck”,
But there is room for a doubt.
At times you have a very unladylike way of running out.
I still seek the thrill, but I’m more realistic about the ups and downs of what comes with rolling the dice, or in this case, the hand your dealt!
I started playing poker when I was 20…1978
I was 40 when I first played poker whilst on maternity leave and needing something to keep my brain occupied. Coming from an Irish family that played cards at every get together, one of my earliest childhood memories is falling asleep under my Grandma’s glass-topped coffee table whilst they all played Whist and Rummy above me. I loved the noise of the cards being shuffled and dealt, and the gales of laughter as they accused eachother of dodgy practices. Now, here I am teaching my 14 yr old daughter and we absolutely love Replay. Just wish I was as good at poker as my old Grandma was!

I started playing Blackjack with my father at 5 or 6 and he taught me poker at around 10 years old.
A few years later he taught the art of bluffing.
I started playing poker in 2013 online at the age of 51. I started online after watching years of tournaments. It was my lessons learned online that made me try the tables. Boy…Now that was a lesson. Fun money is play money, but real money is serious business. I love this game!
First time was about 10 years of age, but was 5 card stud and not very often.
Started playing again more often, No Limit Holdem, when Chris Moneymaker won the World Series of Poker in 2003. Have been playing every week since then, mostly NLH and Omaha H/L. I would have been 61 years old in 2003 and now am 81 years of age. Have been playing on-line solid for past 20 years and am in several Leagues such as Cardschat.com which, I believe, is the best poker forum on-line.
I started playing poker when I retired from dental assisting and figured HOW HARD CAN IT BE? LOL, I found out …being raised without knowing cards it is hard and I have no poker sense! Oh, and btw, that was approximately 20 yrs ago.
Started playing around poker around a year ago at the age of 22, quickly fell in love with the game (and the gambling?). Love the game through and through and although real stakes feel a bit different, I think replay has been a fantastic site to improve my game on - especially tournament play.
Please distribute 100k chips to another member if chosen, am only interested in the merch
Cheers
I started when i was around 20
I started playing poker in elementary school. The insert was sticks of chewing gum. Was 8 years old then. Poker has been with me for my entire 60 years. This is where I became a millionaire.
20’s. Still learning. Still annoyed by bad beats.
