SWAG CONTEST: Happy birthday, Replay! Share what age you started playing poker for a shot at a swag or chips!

I started playing at 14, with my husband and his friends. We played every week for over 30 years. I was always the only girl at the table. Life happens, and it’s not always good or kind. I remember being very sad when we left the U.K for the States, knowing the game was over. My husband, said it was time, besides all our friends were dead or in jail.

I started playing with friends at 17. I started playing online when I retired and have been playing many years.

8 years old, my father said it’s time to learn. we played for fun, but at 14 I was allowed to play in family games. 10 and 20 cent lol now at 70 I play free games.

learned poker from my lifeguard in 1st grade. as the youngest of four. I learned how to compete

i started playing when i was 21 because it is illegal to gamble under 21. I was not able to take up poker in retirement because i gambled away my life savings

I was about five when I can remember playing. I come from an avid poker playing family and I learned from my five brothers. I honestly do not remember a time in my life when I did not play.

Wow, it’s hard to recall when i actually started playing, but I remember I started noticing poker on TV and guys like Doyle Brunson, Daniel N, Phil H, Phil I, Chris Moneymaker and a ton of others were having a ball playing a game called Texas Holdem poker, so I thought I liked playing cards Let’s learn more and my daily life has this SUPER FUN platform called Replay Poker and for those who play, you know the enjoyment this site brings.

I began playing before entering high school. We used to play on weekends. I think the earliest exposure was from playing Tripoley on family vacations and road trips.

I started playing at around 15 when I had a class in High school, I’d played before with some friends but that really kicked off my love for poker. Since them I’ve played pretty regularly, not for much real money, but I do play the occasional “big money” game (1$ BB) with friends.

Around age 30

I learned from my Father. The family played a game called Michigan Rummy and one aspect of that game was a Poker hand.

Age 13, older friends and i started playing twice a week. Dealers’ choice and some fun and different games, never herd of hold- em back then but a lot of 7-stud.

I guess I was in my early to mid teens when I started playing in the family games. It’s hard to remember since that was 60 years ago. By then I had been watching the family games long enough that I fit right in.
