Wondering why we do not get to see who gives an endorsement at a ring table?

Itās just the way it is I guess, same with Tournament tables, not just ring games.

I believe that an endorsement is a personal decision of the giver to the receiver, and should be confidential to avoid any hard feelings on the table. I have seen thank you posted after receiving an endorsement, and the giver has the choice of saying you are welcome, or just keep it personal. Just sayin.

yeah ,itās bad enough to have to go out all the time for someone who plays a childās game but you only get good vibes allowed so why not let people know who complimented you?

RP has deliberately implemented Endorsements the way they feel is best in general for everyone. From my experience Endorsements work the same in SnG, MTT & ring.
- RP has tried to implement endorsements in a way that wont negatively impact players. If everyone could see Endorsements being displayed I think many players would get annoyed with unnecessary spam in the chat box - therefore many players might want a way to disable/mute this new annoyance.
OFC the benefit of everyone seeing Endorsements being displayed is more people notice it and might actually care to use it.
- From my perspective, Endorsements are supposed to be a a feel good anonymous feel good novelty for RP. The concept is good in theory. The problem is this makes Endorsements incredibly boring, meaningless and unnoticeable. I frequently donāt even notice when i get Endorsements at the table until I see the notification later.
Unfortunately RP overvalues Endorsements āgood feelingā and FREE worthless chips give aways as a reason to use this monotonous feature.

I feel that getting an endorsement from a fellow competitor is āyesā a feel good .As most games I play I do not pay so much attention to the chat unless the play deserves a comment. I have never seen any notifications of an endorsement as you say until after leaving the Lobby. I would at least like to be able to thanks these competitors for their compliments. Thatās all Iām sayinā.

We kept endorsements anonymous because we donāt want players to feel obligated to return the favor if they knew who endorsed them. I hope that helps!

I agree with your point and inquiry. Personally I do think its best to keep Endorsements anonymous as is. I do think there is many options RP could explore to make Endorsements more interesting, appealing and noticeable.
I rarely bother using it anymore and players in ring I play with also almost never use it either. If I do rarely get an Endorsement, and I happen to occasionally notice it I usually give an anonymous āthanksā or āTHXā etc. If the player wants to respond YW or acknowledge being nice and sending an Endorsement then great. If they want to remain anonymous then I respect that too. I like to acknowledge a player giving an Endorsement as encouragement for the effort to be nice bc IMO the āfeel goodā and 25 chip reward just isnāt very encouraging or rewarding.
If I was trying to make Endorsements better I would first make it optional to use and add colour text in chat box when endorsement is given - similar to how Mods & Reps - to make it more noticeable.

I do like your suggestion to highlight an anonymous compliment in a color and maybe even bolder font so you can at least be grateful, BTW Dogs of War is one of my favorite tunes by Floyd!

had a few endorsements ,(not to brag), and just thought it would be nice to thank the givers. Thats all. getting free chips didnāt factor in as I didnāt even know that was policy.

One of my Fav songs too, obviously! Yea BOLD plus colour would make it more noticeable! Unfortunately RP has made it as boring & unnoticeable as possible to make the feature discreet and anonymous.
Personally 45K free chips per month for me is not worth it at rank 4. Rank 5 would obviously be worth more.
We get 2500 * 28 = 70K per month for logging in to RP every day and doing nothing. Some days Iām winning between 500K - 3M and losing between 500K to 1.5M as a rough estimate. Iām never going to notice 45 001 chips added to my account.
Yes, but to you multi-millionaires it seems like a drop in the ocean. To us mere peasants itās a noticeable bonus lol. Iām only at rank 2.

even with over a million chips, I find it hard to believe many players would notice the monthly Endorsement chip drop.
