I absolutely hate pairing a straighty board. It almost always ends in disaster so I almost always just fold it. If I hit the flop for top pair and turn brings in a straight I will often run to the hills. I totally hate it. I probably lose more money to this than anything else. It’s so gross it;s sick.
I just flopped top 2-paier and this happened.
My thoughts were, “What are the chances that he actually flopped the straight? Much more likely that he still needs another card to complete, so I’ll make him pay.” Right?
I am never ever ever EVER EVER!! continuing with pairs on a straighty board. EVER! Arrrrgggghhhhh!!!
