Nordic Warriors League

No sense trying to rank anyone, bud. Fact is there are a couple dozen players who could win on any given night. Just gotta try to maximize your own game <3

29 different players won a game last quarter which reminds me the Tournament of Champions re-run is this Friday at 6pm in the league invitational, leading into the season kickoff at 9pm.

I guess I was not clear enough, miscommunicated. I am not ranking players in a way. I do think there are top players who are only top players just barely by skin of their teeth, that are so close in skill level to everybody else that is also awesomely skilled, and that like I said, when somebody goes on a heater, wins a tournament in NW, or wins a quarter in NW or wins a NW TOC, etc, its because they got lucky and played their best A game, because of close in skill level almost everyone is, and that because of that 1 person could win a tourny, quarter, TOC, and then next time a different 1 could win, as thats how close in Skill level.

And all any of us can do is try to play our A game, to go with a litte tiny bit of luck to go with our A game, skill.

That said I do think there are some top players, but I didnt rank them. If I would have ranked them, I would have said something like At number 1. is Insert name, 2. Insert Name, etc. I just listed some players, and even apologized if I accidentally left some out, that were in top 12, but even tho I mentioned top 12, I didnt rank them in order, because my goal wasn’t to rank them, but my point was that the skill level is so very close to even the top players, and that because of that, its luck + peoples A game skill that why players go on temporary heaters, runs, and then different players go on heaters, runs.

If the top players were way ahead of everybody then they would semi dominate, etc, but since they are not way ahead, and are extremely close in skill to almost everyone, then thats why different players win, etc.

And so because of that, all we can do is try to improve, play our best, play our A game, get a little tiny bit lucky, and let the chips fall where they may.

I hope that clarifies any misunderstanding.

MLB has a weekly power ranking update.

We normally hear updates with statements like "Baseball’s hottest club moves past two teams

for the lead"

In that context, Snowman and Younguru with their relatively lackluster starts in RPOS XII,

would initially drop in the ratings.

Asuronetorius, with his quick start in RPOS XII, would definitely have moved up and

momentarily passed very skilled players.

By the end of RPOS XII, Snowman (IMO) would be leading at #1 in the rankings.

Younguru #2

oleary123 #3

Asuronetorius #4

RazorB #5

Dominating, tied with 7 wins in our NW league and following through with great success

in RPOS XII, there is no doubt in my mind that Snowman and Younguru are more than

one step ahead of the rest.

If it were a horserace, the odds would be something like this

1-5
3-5
7-1
9-1
20-1
20-1
20-1
etc.
1000-1 < you know who you are! lol

A definite drop off between the two and the rest of the field!

^ If you disagree, you’re not paying attention!!

I am just going to throw this out there.
What would you all think if at the end of this quarter we had two TOCs one for Hold’em and one for Omaha 8 then the winners of those two games played each other heads-up for the champion of champions.

What say you warriors?

Heads up would have to be alternating games 5 hands hold’em, 5 hands omaha.

I wouldn’t mind two TOCs since we do award two titles

I don’t think that’s possible, the alternating structure, would be cool if it did, I suppose I can ask, but have not seen that on this site yet.
I would think we draw what the game is randomly, from a virtual hat so to speak. Or let the winner get the least or most points of the two TOCs chose. Or have more than one heads up (alternating format) and make it best 2 out of 3 and let the player with most or least points chose the first game format.

The Nordic Warriors welcomes @oleary123 to the league, another RPOS winner to join the ranks of some of the best players on Replay competing with us!

I think one TOC is sufficient and I would keep it at that. Two at most, a holdem one for holdem winners and an omaha one for omaha winners. Having a playoff would involve too much time and effort setting up and scheduling the games and one player may have an advantage over the other if one or the other does not play holdem or omaha very well.

last point doesn’t make sense to me; that would be the purpose of having both disciplines, to see who is the best. got a disadvantage in one or the other? cool, lose!

Nordic Warriors Tournament of Champions take 3.
I really appreciate everyone rolling with the punch and technical difficulties last weekend and the delay in getting the word out for a few folks. Finding a good time slot it harder than I thought it could be. Plus we did give out 6 million for the 3 TOC run so hopefully that helps a little. As for tonight, the warriors came to play With a winner take all you see the intensity and aggression go way up. The final heads up between @_Rain and @southwestmba was an instant classic airing on ESPN the OCHO tonight. @_Rain eventually wore down the challenger and took the 2 million home. Congrats to @donkbusta444 @Asuronetorius and @Younguru rounding out the top 5 as the tournament clearly lived up to its billing.

Sorry about that @mrzick last weekend was the perfect time but the technical glitch made us want to re-run it to be fair. With two games counting for points on Saturday Friday was the only good option.

Michael said he was gonna bring it this quarter! The man tells no lies!
Congrats to all the participants, it was a very high-level contest. So fierce in fact that I almost folded KK preflop at one point… almost :smiling_face_with_tear:

Well done @_Rain!
