Elite Stakes Ring Rundown

Elite stakes ring games are like the girl you can’t introduce to your parents, she is risky, fascinating, and wild, but might tell mom to F off.
You can’t see here every night, or you will bleed from her wild needs.
You want her bad, so you go out the window to meet her.
MMT or MMA ? do we grind or just get in the ring and see what happens, let’s do this! its a BR nightmare, a dark secret of what you really want, it likes to take from your soul a pound of flesh, chunk of patience and dreams of glory.
Then it replaces that with a dose of instant gratification.
I regularly (when I have an extra 40mill to lose) travel up the ring game food chain, there is no faster gratification/disappointment game on the site.
I understand

Exactly!

A place where players go who have

money to burn!

LOL that was what you call “instant regret” hahahaha

Trying to bluff a player with 2.8 billion?

Then stopping to look around on your path to see no one around.

Might be a clue!

@excaliburns I fear no one! That is why I lose… and also why I win!

just solid fundamental poker

Let’s see … nut flush draw, wheel draw, overcard ace AND a deuce catcher. I dunno, I think you needed more equity. : P

Silence tonight.

Your share of losing tonight.

Here, I’ll turn on Frank Sinatra for you.

And now the end is near
And so, I face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain

I’ve lived a life that’s full
I travelled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Regrets I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption

I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the by-way
And more, much more than this
I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall
And did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed, and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing

To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh no, oh no, not me
I did it my way

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way

Are you literally just stalking this thread so that you can belittle my accomplishments and talk sh!t when I lose? I don’t understand your intentions.

Replay has always been and always will be about entertainment.

Win or lose, it has always been that way, your way, or my way!

Also adding, it’s about helping others who may read this who are in similar situations

down the road.

Surely, it is informative and entertaining.

Both of us have enjoyed Replay throughout, especially knowing posting our experiences

can be helpful to others to make the right decisions, even if we do not make the right

decisions at the time.

Learning from other’s mistakes, and again, even our own, is my no means belittling.

We’re friends on Replay and if you noticed, I was the first to cheer your amazing

accomplishments.

Friends give friends amazing advice from past experiences on Replay.

I must say you’ve been the most generous with your knowledge.

It creates a huge following which you enjoy.

So, it’s about generously helping others too.

I needed to make no mistake and be clear, we’re on the same page.

You see, even your losing day has immense value to others.

Helpful, Informative value and yes even a bit of entertainment value.

Try and rise above your ego and you’ll see my intentions more clearly.

You consistently light up Replay’s community forums, to a greater degree than any other.

Absolutely no doubt, your unique generosity will be remembered as legendary here.

Your accomplishments in poker will remain legendary.

Your ego remains legendary, LoL

^ Inserted for entertainment value only!

You’ve helped countless players refine their game!

On behalf of those greatly improved players, may I take this moment in time

and simply say “Thank you!”

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying. I started to feel a bit put upon because even when I started winning, you were pretty insistent that I was still doing poorly

I think you’re very risk averse, and some of your replies reflect that while pretending to give an objective assessment

There’s a deep underlying current or reasoning to which you haven’t understood

regarding trends.

The insistence was justified, even if your short-lived comeback success was misleading you.

That insistence was simply a nudge of warning that you are on the wrong path.

Nothing more and nothing less!

It was definitely an objective assessment!

A flaming bankroll, a lonely road and an iconic singer singing, “My Way”

You are up against insane odds being successful on this road, that you’re currently on.

Believing that you are trending up is like trusting your ice cream will not melt while strolling

on a lonely Death Valley path in July.

That is my assessment!

Also, I’d recommend the Tutti-Frutti

LoL

There are no trends in poker, only random cards, player types and calculated betting.

@napkin_holder don’t get him started lmao

@Excaliburns I think the main mistakes I have made so far are:

  1. trying to use balanced bluff frequency/sizing when better exploits are available
  2. playing too many medium-strength hands OOP
  3. drawing too often in raised pots where Villain is never folding when we miss unless we go huge, and we don’t have as much implied odds as we’d like because they are overfolding when the draw comes in

A wise player once said that high-stakes ring games on Replay are mostly about trying to lose the minimum while waiting to cooler somebody. That tracks with my experience so far. I think that will be my primary strategy most of the time from now on.

Again, after reading your main mistakes, you are missing the obvious one.

Retreat.

Get yourself back on track and trending up for a while.

You’ll feel better traversing your old winning path.

Build up your bankroll and stop the needless bleeding

Use your new primary strategy against lower tier competition.

I’ll be glad to see it!

It would give us a much-needed break from posting on this Elite Stakes thread
