Why do people not be polite to strangers at tables? I usually play late at night and know many people and they are all very nice. I was just playing in a free tournament with good players but being they did not know me they were awwww ignorant lol. I would say nh when i see one and no reply, but a player wins with 10-5 off suit and 3 people “like nh” etc" I flop a FH and slow play it and win and not one person says nh lol. I play here for fun so i just said " free chips and all in with 2-5 (or close) and told them what i had so i could get out of there…
I understand, but I don’t know them, so I don’t care. Why the F do you care?

I have begun to believe that some of the people who never respond to chat are playing using their Android phones. If you use an Android, chat is not available at all. Does knowing that help a little, bil8888?

If Replay had mobile symbol like friend symbol, then we could figure, ah no chat from that person and avoid being offended. Just saying.

Sounds like a good idea!
When I’m playing on my phone, and cross paths with someone I’m friendly with I usually pm them just to say I’m not ignoring them.
Having said that, as I usually play omaha where good hands come out regularly, the only time I’m likely to say nh is when it is a good hand, ie quads or a straight flush, or maybe if someone wins a huge pot with a full house. Some folk say nh for every hand, which I reply to to be polite, but would rather not have to.

The thing is they were chatting with each other lol. Ignoring me because they do not know me. I honestly do not care BUT love playing and chatting and taking stress off from playing cash games where you win, and they call you a … and … lmao.

Some players also have their chat turned off and don’t care to chat or make friends and just want to sit and enjoy a came with no distractions, could be as simple as they are eating greasy popcorn and don’t want to type or eating supper while they play, who knows but don’t take it personal.

I play 2 games sometimes and the chat is so small miss a lot(Really old and slow,but that’s another story) Also sometimes get moved before table ends so no response available.

I like it when I am at a friendly table nh,gh gg etc. For some time now, it is very little to no chat and I find it somewhat cold. I like to play so I just forget about the chat and move on… it was very nice to have a little chat, nothing wrong with that.

Has anybody heard the term " There is blood on the walls and gun smoke in the air. We are playing poker.? " It is a war but it is a game. We like to compete,love to win and hate to lose. Personally I usually play two games,don’t like to be distracted. Prefer to ignore stupid - probably drunk players but do
occasionally make a Good Game or Well Played comment to deserving players. Enjoy RP.

AWW, we are playing for FAKE chips… Now at cash games, ANYTHING goes, i will say some dumb things (maybe not nice sometimes to people (we usually know each other) to get them to go on tilt BUT still say Nh n gg when finessed.

They talk to each other but not to strangers… I am not new here but usually a nighttime player (Nicer people i guess because they know me) …That is what is awww baffling, like being in grade school again (the new kid lol).

Just an idea.
Please don’t criticize other players poker play. It’s ok to believe you are a better player than someone else. But you don’t have to keep telling someone else what you believe they are doing wrong. In the end a saying every child hears from their parents might come into play.
If you can’t say something nice about someone, try saying nothing at all.
Human nature is based on learning from our mistakes. A child is told not to touch an electric burner that is red or turned on. What’s the first thing they want to do? Touch it. A child touches that burner and they won’t do it again.
Bottom line. Allow others to make mistakes and praise the good things they do. This way they might be able to make a better decision when bad situations arise.
