I’ve gotten several notification telling me I’ve received a poker pro endorsement but I have no idea what they are oe if they mean anything. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi Gar27,
I found this info about endorsements :
There are three different endorsements that you can provide/receive to/from other players :
- “Poker Pro” - Is the player in question great at the game? Select this button to give them a shout-out.
- “Good Sport” - Are you having a friendly chat with someone? Do they have a great attitude, take their losses in stride, or make you feel welcome? This is the endorsement for them!
- “Helping Hand” - If you’ve got questions about the site or the game, and someone helped you along the way, choose this option to say thanks.
Each of these awards will contribute to a player’s endorsement rank, on a scale of 0-5.
As thanks for being a positive presence on our site, we’re doing monthly chip drops based on your rank. Each rank has a set range, and you’ll be awarded a random amount from that range. The higher your rank, the more chips you’ll receive.
We also award you with 25 chips each time you make an endorsement, because we appreciate you taking the time to acknowledge other great players!
Wow thanks!
A couple other things. You can only endorse a player once in a 24 hour period and you can also only give out 20 endorsements max in the previous 24 hours.
I’ve only really seen the “Good sport” endorsement used as a mocking jab to someone who loses a hand. Amsterdam, amazonian etc.
All of the endorsements can be, and at least sometimes are, used sarcastically by naughty players
For instance, I often get the “Helping Hand” endorsement right after a player catches me bluffing and knocks me out of a tournament XD
You can usually tell from context whether someone means it genuinely or otherwise though
Friends will give you a poker pro-Ppl. who mock you will give you a helping hand-good sport is i guess losing n not complaining as i NEVER gave one lol:).
