What do you guys do while playing?

Because I cant listen to music in a MTT I need to focus on the game :joy:

Or when I eat/snack something I overlook some possible hands from other players…

Any tip’s or tricks?

I don’t eat while playing.
I have a Berkey Water Filter within reaching distance, and a clean water drinking glass.
I often sit silently in a quiet environment and focus on the game.
I listen to sounds outside my window in the neighborhood.
Looking at the profiles of the players on my table is something I do, less than half the time.
Sometimes, I listen to ambient music, classical piano, or every once in a while something loud.
If I have Skype open, I might exchange a few short chats.
I like to roll a cigar between hands, while keeping one eye on the action.

I usually listen to a playlist on Spotify or pick a video on YouTube and let it play in the background as you tube will auto select some good music. I’ll get something to drink and try to keep the cat off the keyboard. I try to watch the action and see how people are playing it that night. The music helps calm me down when i want to go on tilt cause poker is never a smooth ride.

I just watch the Ridiculousness show to keep things light and get a few laughs while playing. Helps me realize this is a “just for fun” poker site.

I usually have music on or sometimes the news running in the background, but sometimes I consume substances and howl and bark at the screen like a mad swamp hound, just depends, it’s a mood thing, woof :dog:

if i am not playing multi tables i watch tv-shows or poker (twitch / youtube) in the background, if i am not waching music is always on! :wink:

usually there isnt much room to do anything else, cause i have a gun in my mouth, finger on the trigger in case i lose!

I give my attention to the game and my fellow players as is proper etiquette. Unfortunately their are too many that don’t have a clue about etiquette or politeness. To some degree, it’s a generational issue. And in another it’s the disconnect of not being “in person”. Sort of how some might treat someone while driving.

I usually play chess while playing poker. It’s something to focus on in-between playing hands.

Sometimes i will play a small cash game (when not doing bills )-BUT u play different there and awwww a couple of times lost a little money as i forgot what game i was at:(
