What did you do nice today?

Feel free to share those things you do nice for other people or in general.

At the grocery store, I was passing an elderly couple looking at the top of a shelf. I asked what was going on. They told me they couldn’t reach a box of Barley. I told them I would get it for them. When I reached to do so, the boxes were stacked higher than my arm could go. I made it to the bottom box with my fingertips and seven boxes were stacked on top of that one. I managed to shake the bottom box until the one on the very top fell hitting me in the face before landing on the floor. I asked if that box was ok or should I get another one. They picked it up and told me this one was perfectly fine. That they didn’t want me doing that again and thanked me several times. I smiled and headed down the aisle to finish my shopping. There was no damage to my face and I was happy to help. I might think twice before taking another box of Barley to the face.

Thanks for sharing that @bigmarkbig, that’s really nice of you.

I can’t think of anything recent that I did, but I got an email from my daughter’s school saying that she and her friend asked for some cleaning supplies during their lunch break earlier this week. They saw some bad words written on the bathroom wall and they volunteered to erase those. I thought that was really nice that the girls did that. I also appreciate that the school recognized and informed the parents. So tomorrow, we’re taking them both for some arcade and mini golf.

I do something nice for someone everyday. Not because I want a medal or a pat on the back, it’s in my DNA .

Does donating chips count? Kidding (tho I did a bit)
I was driving through my local National Forest and once again spotted a trash bag on the road side, Seems some would rather not drive home with or find a can for such things so out the window it goes.
This time I just dropped it at the next scenic outlook that all have cans, Last time…
Last time I was not so nice as the 1st thing I found was the assumed address on several pieces of mail along with the distinctive Oder of dirty diapers, This too I picked up placing it in a box in my trunk when a light went off, I am closer to the post office this time  yes YES iI DID

I was at the grocery store. A lady and her husband were trying to load two huge bottles of water into the back of their truck. She had a cane and her husband was in a wheel chair. I immediately ran to them and said “stop, are you kidding me. Please let me do that”. I looked toward the door of the grocery store and several employees were just staring like they were waiting to see if the lady and her husband were going to be able to get the water into the bed of the truck. When I finished, I went into the store, passing the employees, and in a loud enough voice said that they should be ashamed of themselves. Geez…what is this world coming to.

I would like to compliment whoever started this post!! I am all about random acts of kindness. However, I was raised to believe that you should always do nice things. But, mom taught me if you do something nice and then take credit or boast about it - it becomes a selfish act. So, I won’t boast here. I will say I did a couple of things today that made my heart smile! I have met so many kind people in here!! I look forward to the posts!! Great topic!!!

Well, I haven’t hit anyone over the head with a frying pan yet today, so there’s that. (Oh don’t worry - it’s a prop frying pan made of foam. I learned my lesson after the first time. Apparently “the authorities” frown upon using a real frying pan.)

Anyway - being nice doesn’t cost a damn thing and pays huge dividends both socially and on a personal level. We can all make the world a better place one tiny gesture at a time.

As to what to do with those that can’t bring themselves to be kind - well, the rest of you message me. I’ll let you know where you can get a nice foam frying pan.

I don’t leave the house very often since my sweet girl went to be with God in Paradise. so in my isolation I watch a bit of the reels on Facebook. My favorite is Greatness Reinvented who blesses people with cash (no strings attached). He doesn’t look like your normal philanthropist and is a rapper on top of that. He is openly Christian and mighty proud of that. Some people refuse his kindness based on his looks.

Anyway I did have to force myself out yesterday for a few tasks. I decided to reward myself with a Subway sandwich. and I decided to do some blessing for the person who took my drive thru order. Greatness does 100 - 1000$. I can’t do that but I did tell her to add $10 to the charge for a tip. She lit up as if the tip WAS $1000. She said I made her day…but it was she that made mine. ( and a delicious sandwich too)
