Tournament Victories and Bad Beat Defeats

Not exactly bad defeats but a string of losses lasting for the last days and tournaments which really start to pixx me off.

As soon as iam all in …replay wipes me out of the tourney.

My very first hand lol…of course he flops the ultimate…(that happens of course but adds to the whole string)

  • me pocket 10s
  • flop 2 3 4 …iam all in
  • he of course A 5
  • me ..bye bye tourney

Number one jack on the river…(yesterday)

  • me K Q
  • he K J
  • flop K and crap
  • me all in
  • river J
  • me bye bye tourney

Oh again all in? Ok number two jack on the river..(today)

  • me K A
  • he K J
  • flop K and crap
  • me all in
  • river J
  • me bye bye tourney

Worst was 2 days ago..2 times flushed out on river
1st

  • flop me 2 pairs
  • he all in
  • turn clubs
  • river clubs
  • he flush
  • me shred
2nd same table only 2 or 3 hands later
  • flop me 2 pairs again
  • me all in
  • river heart
  • he flush
  • me bye bye tourney

Right now i can get a royal flush and be sure my oppenent will get his 5th ace.

So annoying…

You are too deep (you have too many chips at risk) to go all-in on the very first hand. Try using a normal sizing, like 2x to 5x bb. TT is a really nice hand but it is very vulnerable to overcards. yes, he called you loose, but you have the power to stay alive with proper bet sizing. By going all-in on the very forst hand you riak stuff like this.

That’s bad luck but again, why are you all-in here? If your stack is small (15bb or less) then that’s fine, but if you are deep, why all-in with less than top-pair-top-kick?

yes mainly the all ins were to secure the hand because the preflops were big pots already. i have to add that there were quite aggressive bettings and u need to take the chance in the best situation. but yes of course u have to deal with potential collateral damage then. thats ok but currently all the time..every tourney at the moment i am in big i get smacked. and u see my opponents go in with often worse and i often know that…still. this KJ stuff against my higher Ks. i just remember my 2 times KKs also last days…both of course cracked with my full stack lost. it just pixxes me off that it is every single time at the moment. Complete damage against an of course player with higher stack in ridiculous rivers and even turn rivers where i initially have the way stronger upper hand.

however i just had to let some steam off…lol. sometimes its just frustrating if u have a string like that.

This is a 1M buy-in, big money for me. There are 9 of us left and top 5 get paid. I am 9th.

I jam this river. The button goes grey. I click-lick-click-click, madly! I time out and lose.

Guess my hand. - > 33

Grrrrrr!!! @#$%^& that pissed me off!

I wish to thump my chest a bit. Yesterday I came in 2nd in the 2nd of 4 games of the July Marathon Final Tables. I had pocket 7’s vs KJ. He got the J on 4th street. I won $3,110,000. This was after a particularly gnarly 2 week dry spell where I was finally able to win an entry ticket on the last day during the next to last semi- final game of the series. I was pretty much card dead…nothing but bad beats, junk hands and suck- outs the whole tournament! I played multiple games daily and I almost quit but my competitive nature wouldn’t allow it. I love playing MTT and yesterday’s win pushed me over the 20million dollar level in chips. I have never purchased any chips so I feel this is a great accomplishment for an 80yr old senior! The few friends I have left are mentally declining but I feel playing poker keeps my mind sharp. Thanks Replay!

gee, I’m running GREAT this morning! ; )

Aaaand yet again. Hand # 1289581844

No disrespect but that’s a terrible SNAP call on the river. Sure he has 12 outs but what does he think I’m repping? I could have 2 hearts already. I actually have the same as him only I outkick him in every way. He doesn’t know that but does he really want a heart on the river with only 3rd nut? He has air. He can’t make me fold when I’m already in. And if he hits a T or 7 on the river he’s still behind any made hands that I might have.

Ugh!!

And yet one more. I think I’m done playing for a while because I’m sick of this, although I’m surethat you are all more sick of hearing about it.

Aggressive table, not only that but even though I’m like 6th best stack in tournament, Replay’s wonderful method of seat movement in MTTs takes the top 4 stacks in the tournament and plunks them 1 by 1 into the 4 seats on my left in about a 12 minute span. This happens so often to me I doubt that it’s random. Anyways, I finally get a chance to isolate the small stack and have him dead to rights. Then THIS happens.

OK, so I tried 1 more. Villian 1 jams short and I want to call but Villain 2 calls first. Now I have notes on this Villain 2 as being very wide, very aggro and bluffy so I’m not afraid of him. I jam overtop to keep the stacks behind out. I have AJ-hearts. Villain 2 has 99 and flops a 9. : /

Ok, this is just stupid. Hand # 1289977388

JT and have trips Js on the turn. He jams me with J9. Guess what the river is. : /

@napkin_holder nice…and this is exactly what iam talking about. i have the same streak right now. can do what ever i want. the river or somtimes even turn river, if opponent needs it kicks me. they are often completely inferior to my hand and get the only one card they can survive with on the river. sometimes ridiculous calls or bets but they will surely hit their card. i currently try to play off my poop streak on small ring tables…

Well the streak is broken. I just won No More Sorrow for 338k which wins back all my losses this week (within 10k-ish).

3 of us left. I’m the short stack. Hand # 1290355326. I open TT 2x from BB, both call. Flop is TJ9 with 2 clubs (I don’t block). I jam. Leader folds. Other guy tanks. He tells me in chat, “J”. I tell him “TT.” He calls with J5s-di. Run out bricks.

Two hands, later, short goes all-in against leader. KK takes him down, Heads-up. I trail 114k to 68k. I win every pot from here to the end.

He folds to from SB to my QTo.

I shove-steal with K7o.

He folds to my KK on flop.

My QQ vs AK, very happy to see 5 thick bricks. I take the big lead.

Busted his QQ with K6, the board ran out 5342J. That one was lucky as hell. I win.

Wow, did I run great at that final table.

This one is unbelievable!

I have J6 and hit a boat on the river. He had a better boat. The worst part is that I was chip leader, and then 2 hands later it moved me to his table where he had just knocked a couple out to take chip lead. At this point I was 3rd and he was 1st. Why I had to be at the table with like the only guy who could felt me. Would have easily gotten paid. Instead, out in 23rd.

And again. My huge stack against the only one bigger and he has … Hand # 1290658721

And here is my todays contribution for the poop streak. i really can not get any ground in tourneys at the moment. just tried a smaller tourney again today for a change with the very same course and outcome. sxxt cards entire time. always crazy preflop bettings. very few strong cards for me and try to get in…withdraw after crazy bettings continue and i repeatedly dont hit sxxt. then massivly down in chips, blinds already high and wait for the best double up.

same result as always. me JJ against 2 players with Q (Q 10 and Q 8). i guess i dont have to mention that the Q showed up for them…where? oh on the river.

me…bye bye tourney.

Hand # 1290666271

If one had a K and other one an A and sth showed up..ok but both Q and Q on river? come on…

i know it can happen but can it not happen for a change? lol

Mad…
