One of my two “best friends Bob”–yes, I have two of them–the one who now lives in Las Vegas nearly died from Cat Scratch Fever back in the middle 1980s. He was in the hospital in Worcester for more than a week. CSF is nothing to sneeze at, but it does respond to treatment if promptly and correctly diagnosed.

My sister, thinking it would be a good thing if Mom had a cat, brought home an adoptee which promptly lost its mind and ripped around the house, out of control, climbing the drapes, and finally hiding under the bed. In trying to retrieve it, my sister got a nasty bite. Hand swelled up like a balloon. She went to the emergency room where she had to get a couple of truly nasty shots, missed a week of work–in the end, the idea was well meant but a big oops. True, a human bite can also be lethal, but less likely, perhaps? Poor kitty. Poor sissy.

It’s that time of the year again, and let me tell you, it’s not easy finding the perfect gift for so many people. After much consideration, I have decided to give you all the one thing I know you want more than anything… another picture of me!!!
Not only was this cheap and made shopping so much easier, it was also the most narcissistic thing I could think of, and I do try to remain in character. 
Oh, and by the way, it’s not a good idea to put a highly flammable tree too close to the fireplace.
Anyway, Happy Holidays and all that…
