I don’t bluff much, but in a big live tournament do you agree that this was good play?
You were certainly telling the story that you were on a straight draw and the board made the story even more believable. It definitely felt like you were reluctantly calling to chase it and then you got there and were trying to get some value. If it was a bluff it was a good one.
I had a flush draw on the flop and a straight draw on the turn,
then it turned into a bluff
In a big live tournament I guess it would have turned out the same, though I doubt ill be playing 4 2 depending on position.
I’m going to be pretty mean, and maybe you’ll argue against me, but limping is already a bad thing regardless of one’s hand I think. So it couldn’t be in a big live tournament, otherwise yes it’s good.
limping happens around the table during long tournements.
raising with 4 2 is 100% not smart play unless your chipped up or UTG or SB.
limping with a small pair 10’s or less vs smart switched on players or a below mid stack isn’t a bad thing as you can always get away from the hand
