**The Only Way To Play With The Donks**

We’re not talking about any donks. We’re talking about The Donks. We’re talking about Badonk’s Donks. To play against Badonks Donks, you must first qualify by finishing well in a quarterly competition against 50+ Foals. WHAT??? Please read on…

In July of 2018, nine highly-competitive, lowly-ranked RP friends were messaging each other about how fun it would be to play exclusively against each other on a weekly basis. That way, we could improve our poker skills without having to deal with the donk-ish plays of inexperience players. So we gave birth to a private RP league and ironically called it Badonk’s Donks. Since then, we have selectively inducted players to our group who have demonstrated a desire to play with like-minded players. It has slowly grown to almost 90 total members playing twice weekly in two different tiered leagues… Badonk’s Donks and Badonks Foals. You have probably already played at the RP tables with many of our members. Our membership lists are here:
https://www.replaypoker.com/leagues/19
and here:
https://www.replaypoker.com/leagues/14
Our league play is at 7pm ET on Sunday and at 9pm ET on Wednesday. Our buy-ins are 100K. Our Sunday MTT’s are 9 max with antes and our Wednesday MTT’s are 6 max without antes. We maintain four quarterly leaderboards…one for each of our two weekly tournaments for each of our two leagues. At the end of each quarter, the best players from our 2nd tiered league advance to our 1st tiered league. Then at the end of each quarter, the leaderboard points of all our members are reset to zero and we start the next quarter’s competition. You can find links to our quarterly leaderboards on our Forum page here:
http://forum.casino.org/t/badonks-donks-stables/9719/9999
At this time, there are only two criteria to join us. You must:

  1. Have an RP ranking better than 3000
  2. Commit to play in at least half of either of our weekly MTT’s. During the entire quarter, that’s a minimum of 7 tournaments which are offered at 7pm ET on Sundays and at 9pm ET on Wednesdays.

So, do you think that you’re good enough to play against The Donks? If so, conduct an RP search for “BADONKIDONK” and click on “ADD AS A FRIEND” to start the league induction process.
If you have questions or comments, please post a message here.
Thanks for considering Badonk’s Donks and Foals.

I am reminded of a quote (supposedly) by Groucho Marx - I’d never join a club that would have me as a member.

Haha, but who said that we’d have you as a member? You are currently ranked 4480. He who LOLL, LOL best. where LOLL = Laughed Out Loud Last.

I really like to play with THE DONKS and Badonk does a great job by organizing the league. Personally I would never consider me as a high caliber player, but at times I like to play a serious game. Come join as -Donks or foals-, you’ll meet a lot of familiar faces and certainly not the usual limp, min raise, check, check game.

Cheers

Badonkidonk has hired me as his spokesperson, He said if I say nice things to help promote his League, That he would pay me in Carrots & Sugar cubes. I like both carrots & sugar cubes. So Now to say something nice. Hmmm, Um, Umm, OH I know, His games on Wed & Sun always start on time! So he’s got that going for him when he dies… When do I get paid?

Here is a quote I found:

Very nice post BD. You have done a great job. I really enjoy playing in your league and one thing I will add to what you have posted, is how nice all the members are. Basically just good poker and good friends. Almost never any whining and chat is friendly, some kidding and mostly all in very good spirits. Thanks for all your efforts and all the work you do in making it go.

Thank you for your positive comments. And JuiceeLoot, I can’t take credit for the tournaments starting on time, so I’ll pass your comment on to the appropriate RP Organizer.

So how many chips do I have to buy to rank in the top 2000?

REPLY TO Grateful_ed
Now the answer to your question would depend on how many chips you already have, wouldn’t it?. In your case, maybe a lot, because we see that you are only ranked at 4056. LOL Just joking, but we can also see from here that your tongue is firmly planted in your cheek. What you are implying is that poorly skilled RP players could simply buy chips to achieve a ranking of 2000. This is true, and I’m sure that chips have been purchased for that reason, but that’s why all new nominees are thoroughly vetted by our 80+ members. This ensures that all inductees are worthy of joining our leagues. Additionally, our Grey Foals members have proven to be extraordinarily skilled poker players. So if a poorly skilled RP player wants to buy chips and compete against them for 13 weeks in an effort to somehow advance to the Golden Donks League…kudos to RP for selling more chips. On the other hand, a skilled poker player should give it a shot. Thank you for the observation and your comment.

I was just recruited this last quarter by Seville to be a Grey Foal. Came up just short of qualifying to be a Golden Donk - but it was a great run. (I ate too many of the carrots I was awarded otherwise I would have…) And the folks who advanced certainly deserved it. The League has really upped my game - partly because you have to play consistently well vs. sporadic bouts of genius (or luck). I really do enjoy the people and friendly chat - and lack of complaining about how the random card generator at RP specifically picked you out of thousands of players on line to river you out - and look forward to the games each week.

I am very proud of you MaineCats and also FatNSassy. You both played great, and I believe you qualified on the combination of both nights ability to qualify for the Golden Donks. Looking forward to seeing all of those that advanced and wishing the best to all who will be competing in the upcoming quarter. Also would say that I have played quite a few tourneys with Grateful Ed and he is a fine player. Am certain he would do well in the competition. Would be happy to sponsor him whenever his rating would permit it. Glad to see your interest ed.

…absolutely tongue in cheek. What can I say. I’m a product of the Replay Poker forums!

Thank you for the kind words Seville. I have graduated to the 100K sitngos and hope to build my bank up some. It’s harder than it sounds. The play at 100K is quite a bit more serious than it seemed to be at 25K.
You guys have fun. I’m OK where I’m at.
Consider my presence here as mere trolling.

We are Grateful for your original comment. It gave us an opportunity to remark on our solution to one of our original concerns. We’d like you to reconsider joining us when you break the 2000 barrier. Good luck at the tables…we hope to hear back from you soon.

Grateful-ed, I joined this league in the hopes that playing against the best players on Replay I would improve my game. Well, with much patience it has definitely improved my game. If you are serious about playing poker, then this is where to do it. Win or loose, if you pay attention…you will improve your game. Good Luck.

can I join the leuge?

Yes, and thank you for the friend request. Tonight you will receive a message with the details.

I enjoy this league because all the players are serious poker players, and not bingo players or all-in players! Last Sunday we played for 1 hour 10 minutes, and still had 27 out of 30 players in play. Now that’s some good poker playing!!! Plus, you play the same players every week. Therefore making new friends.

I signed on to other free poker sites but quickly lost interest because the players were throwing chips around like, well, like they were free. So it was a nice surprise to see serious players at Replay particularly at high fee tourneys. So I was really glad to be invited to join Badonk’s Donks and play against the best of the best every week.
