@NoRookie815 I genuinely feel your frustration. I have just about lost my mind with some of the bad beats at times.
I will confess to being one of the people who says “just keep trying, you’ll get there.” But if you want to vent and talk about how to deal with tournament volatility, feel free to send me a friend request and we can rap about it in greater detail. I would be happy to share some tips about winning tournaments on Replay - there are definitely a lot of players making bad plays, and they sometimes really do seem to “always” get rewarded for it! But it’s not unbeatable…
What a shocking response! Why shouldn’t it be posted on the Forum? (note correct spelling!!!). Your dismissive attitude is not worthy of a Player Rep at all.
You have every right to post here, I understand what you’re saying. There’s to many all-in bluffers, we can’t do much about it, it’s part of the game and it their chips. I hope you find better tables to play on in the future. Best of luck at the tables.
We’ve all seen it happen…but normally, players that call, raise or go all-in with ‘anything’ and hit…don’t make it to the payout in tourneys. Patience.
I make notes on players so that I’m prepared for their carefree playing style.
@oldwombat Frankly it’s OP whose dismissive attitude should be called out. I was being nice, but posts like these might as well be banned. They add nothing to the discussion of playing poker on Replay; they present themselves as some kind of substantive complaint about the site but really they are just “griping,” as @PaperBoy73 says.
Yes, as a Player Rep he probably should be less honest about this but he isn’t wrong
I built up 400k with solid play, and then lost it all to bad beats, losing every cooler and eventually just paying people off because i couldn’t believe how many times i could have good hands and someone else would have the nuts over the top of me. literally over a few hours in a couple of days. and it seems like the algorithm is stuck making me lose. are there any alternatives to this site? so glad i didn’t pay for any chips
you are in a bad run of variance and probably also making many mistakes as a result of the ensuing negative mindset. the site is fair. it isn’t the site’s fault. if you’re losing it’s bad luck, your own bad play, or both.
when I first hit 200M I decided to challenge myself and play headsup 250/500k blinds with @MansoorH, one of the top ten players on the site. we were playing pretty even until I finally trapped him with two pair, and he rivered a better two pair. just like that I was down 100M, half my bankroll up in flames.
I whined about it a good bit, don’t get me wrong! But I didn’t blame the site or my opponent. I knew I was taking a risk with my bankroll, and playing a strong opponent. I reviewed the hands and looked for ways I could get better. The next week I went on a hot streak and made back everything I had lost. It took 40 minutes to lose half my roll and seven days to grind it back. That’s poker for you.
if you aren’t prepared to deal with occasional soul-crushing swings and streaks of bad luck that last over 2,000 hands, don’t play no limit. there are plenty of games with less variance. you have chosen the most volatile poker variant. understand that, accept it, and proceed with clear eyes.
You are the most condescending person I’ve ever had the misfortune to come across.
And so presumptuous. My soul wasn’t crushed by a poker game haha I just went on my bike and got some KOMs on strava.
Thanks for taking the time to reply twice to my gripe though.
Sorry for being condescending. I get tired of hearing the same complaints over and over. There’s truly nothing wrong with the RnG. If you’re losing, you’re either not playing so great or you’re in a bad stretch of luck. It’s cringe hearing people try to blame the site over and over. I generally choose between patronizing or just plain rude; you got the former lol.
odd… I have had the most wonderful experience on replay poker… I started playing here 5 years ago… When ii first started playing here I wanted good stats… and currently have a 83% fold rate… it took me some time playing free roll games … till I had enough chips to play the American games… that’s when I started making friend’s… and played regularly… trying to make top 20 in the leaderboard… Then I was invited to privet league games on replay… In privet leauge games… I play inn 5 privet leauges now…we know everone by 1st name their…
LMAO–You ppl. who say or even THINK this site is rigged are either VERY BAD poker players or no common sense----------Bad beats happen as we see MANY more hands online then in person—Just 2 hours ago on a small cash site i flopped a house and lost to quads-it happens–Stop complaining and maybe play with patience, and you will be ok:).
Patience—EVERYONE gets bad beats----This site does not favor ppl. with lots of chips----I started here a little over 2 years ago----I have about 41 million chips just from taking advantaged of ALL of the promotions, getting 2,500 free chips a day, playing free rolls etc… I am muted for i guess life and this site does not favor me lol (maybe the opposite lol) and we ALL get bad beats and i do not play big games ( only play big games with the free, 100k tickets they give us once a week now.) …Stop complaining and just have patience, read ppl ( if a bingo player you will come out on top more then not)…Good luck
hmm, but reply doesn’t provide stats anywhere near the level of detail needed to be useful for coaching, other than the basic observation that if you’re playing 50% of hands preflop then ur doin it rong
you should never be playing more than 75% of all hands… and if you do play… you should be betting and winning never calling a hand… unless inn big blind
