The fairness debate

This is the correct answer. having the cards and seeing the cards are different. I have seen a royal flush (live) 3 times in 3 years. And out of 1000’s of hands here I have yet to see it. I have never had it myself.

You two may be correct and my understanding of statistics and probabilities is just different.

So, if you Flip a Coin and I’m watching you. Your probability of flipping a Heads is 50/50 but because I’m watching you flip, my probability of seeing Heads is not 50/50?

The last couple of days I noted these games which showed Quads to show I’m not imagining thie frequency. Just note the dates 1038068629 1038427306 1038759508

The first two Quads examples were separated by just 166 hands played. Again, all I’ve been saying is this an abnormal frequency. I’m only asking that the merthodology be reviewed and was not changed from the previous version which seemed fair.

Just like AA which you geton average 1/221 times, if one player has been seated for a long time before another sits down to play, the first player has played more hands and the probability of him hitting quads is higher than the person who just sat down. Hence, the newer player saw quads in less hands than the player that hit them. The odds are individual odds, not table odds.

People keep saying " so many great hands here etc." REMEMBER, the hands are dealt fast, and u see SO many more per hour then in a casino:).

Seeing a Royal 3 times in 3 years is pretty crazy playing live poker. I would guess you play a hell of a lot of hands live?

OFC 1000, 5 000 or 20 000 hands isn’t very significant to analyse data so its nots very surprising to me. Seeing 3 Royals is 3 years playing live is very surprising to me. Players can easily play 10x more hands online compared to live poker so 3 Royals in 3 years online is “under par” if you play a lot of online poker IMO.

At a guess I’ve seen at least 5 Royals in the last year online on RP, 2 myself. Most of these happened in the last 4 months.

For the past 2 months, I’ve found myself wondering wether to continue you here or move on. In that past 2 months, I’ve lost 14,000.000 chips. I fold example, 2-3, only to have 4,5,6 on the flop, turn or river card…4,7 to have 5,6,8 turn up. or I fold a 3, 7, to have full 7’s - 3’s turn up. I play and sit on trip 8’s, only for another player to have 10 trips…or J high straight, another player has Q high and so on, in the past 2-3 yrs I’ve been here, I’ve never see this sort of results on tables. Even playing a lesser table, same thong is happening…WHY, also I post a while ago about not receiving daily amount, had messaged and received a mail about different times etc…for a month I kept my log in times, sure enough back to 500, when in fact I had also played a few hands, other times, I’d log in only to find the next day, back to 500 and when checking, no login time recorded here at all. I don’t normally whinge about anything, but this is getting ridiculous, we dont turn up too loos millions constantly. I’ve had my whinge lol.

@MrOdds
If you go directly to the forum page without going through the dashboard page RP does not seem to count that as daily log on. I have a direct link to the forum page on my phone and that seems to happen if I dont also log in later

I get the frustration, but I will say that I’ve had a lot of instances where I folded a weak pre-flop hand, for it to turn into 4 of a kind or a Full House. Once or twice even a Straight Flush. You just can’t predict what will come up. I never play for millions myself, only Low Stakes/Freeroll tournaments as I don’t play with large numbers.

As for Daily Bonus, not sure what the issue there is, if you do log in or open the site daily, there shouldn’t be any issues, I’d contact Support about it personally.

Going on a long bad run likely happens to us all, you just gotta shrug it off and continue to play your best.
My worst bad run was when I went from around 65 mil chips to down under 10 mil.
For MONTHs just absolutely nothing would go my way it seemed.
It got to be I’d wish they wouldn’t show my cards after folding since I’d cringe seeing the turn and river hit after postflop folding.
Plenty of times I’ve flopped str8’s, lower flushes, even quads with a flop that was 3 of the same, just gotta shrug it off and realize you probably played it right, you never know what the poker gods may bring to the table.
Continue to play solid poker, your luck should turn around, good luck.

Beat after beat again for the last month in NLHE.

Just tonight

99 v 66
QQ v KJ (twice)
AQ v A4
AQ v 85

Everytime they called my all in with lesser hands and of course won

hi hi
thanks for all the stats (makes my head explode)

been reading & thinking about this debate

as you know in $usd poker, no way everyone limps in like in replay
in replay many more players, see the flop with all kinds of garbage… hence many wonky run outs - right?

question…

if you play in a home game & only cards available, missing queen & ten of hearts
what you do? adapt right?
know its skewed & take that into consideration in your play

if you think the replay algorithm is rigged - adapt! see more flops… play draws etc
if it is rigged, it isn’t in favour of any player

the only arguments seen about why replay would rig it - is to make play more interesting

ok - if you consider that the case … adapt - play along with it, knowing the skewed tendencies?
