Replay Poker Site Likes and Dislikes

I have mentioned the lack of being able to see hand results before, but seems like it continues to happen.

It is happening SOOOO much now, beyond ridiculous:)

Happens every day on here…and usually also costs people the ability to play the next hand because they get timed out because of…well…we don’t know why.

What’s going on with the SnG tables?

Playing the Omaha H/L Fiesta and registering is a problem. It takes several attempts to register. It appears to happen for every game.

Hi @smooth99,

We didn’t get any other report about issues with SnG tables last night. I contacted you via email to ask for more information and assist you further.

This is my opinion about annoying habits that are used on-line and in person poker games:

On-line, Slow Play!

In Person, Chip shuffling!
Usage of cell phones at the table!
Cross talk and obnoxious conversation during hands!
Poor sports that get caught bluffing!

If I feel negative vibes after a beat, eg: a much weaker hand rivers out a better hand etc., I leave the table either in sitting out or leaving altogether until I get myself into a better head space. On return I do not impulse or revenge bet which usually has negative consequences.

To differentiate between turbo (fast) tables and regular (slow) tables, look for the lightning bolt on the left side of the lobby list. If it’s highlighted, that means it’s a turbo table.

The difference between turbo and regular tables is the time limit on the game clock. On regular tables you have 20 seconds to take your action, while on the turbo tables you only have 10 seconds to take your action.

You consider 20 seconds to be slow? I think not.
caught bluffing, take it and remember.
obnoxious table talk, report or mute him from your table.
options are available here… not much we can do about cell phones, or shuffling of chips.

Sad to see no Likes of the Replay Site in the last 5 day’s, only dislikes. I believe the site has provided us so many options to play the games we want to and are improving the site every year. I hope our community can stand together & support Replays efforts to bring us Free, Fun Poker. I am also sure the Staff wants to know how they can improve the site for us all!!!

If I refresh the lobby page, it will go from 3 games listed to all of them.

This issue has been around for a LONG LONG time! If I’m not wrong it was an issue back before the NEW HTTP tables were introduced, way back in the days of the Adobe Flash tables!

I don’t think you are off topic at all! I think OP @Pilot704 was fairly vague regarding the phrase “poker play” on this site and seems fairly open to everyone’s opinions responding!

What gets me is RP has made so many changes in roughly the last 2 years to the site and yet small issues like the Lobby “convulsion disorder” has never really been acknowledged, addressed and fixed.

I have a small list of stuff thats broken on the site! I rarely ever see RP fix anything! I’m sure there is a solution, but RP obviously has no interest to spending the resources fixing it!

I am sorry to hear that you feel that way about RP DogsOfWar. RP offers so many different ways to play poker. I like the fact that players can play poker and talk to people from around the world. RP has made many changes and continues to make changes to improve the way we all can play poker. Sure there may be some problems as there always is when changes are made, but if you have a problem, you can always contact Support and advise them of the problem. RP’s Support is always ready to address your problems in a timely fashion. I would hope that the RP community as a whole, would be patient and understanding of what RP is doing to improve and upgrade the site. It takes time to make all those changes, so patience is what we all need right now. Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion on this matter.

Hi all,
First, let me say I am in no way referring to any one individual but rather to a that group of players who complain about aspects of Replay Poker they see as problems and that the support staff is non responsive.

Second let me say that I myself am a leech. I have never paid one single cent to Replay Poker. I have not purchased chips or a membership. I use the site and the forums the running of which all costs money.

I have personally found the support staff to be responsive, helpful and perseverant when I have contacted them with a problem.

My question to those of you who complain is this: are you a financial supporter of Replay Poker? If you are then… thank you, you are part of what enables me to be a leech. If you are not, perhaps you should consider becoming a member or buying some chips. I am not saying that players do not have a right to complain, but if you want change perhaps consider providing some financial support.

  1. I really enjoy playing poker for free with people from all over the world!

  2. The staff is tremendous, if I’ve had an issue in a tournament, they’ve always been happy to refund my buy in, even at least once when it wasn’t their fault, but my internet/computer issues.

  3. I was really stoked/ impressed when I was a lucky winner of Replay swag, in which I chose the cap which is of excellent quality and I proudly wear it quite often.

I use various blogs and sites they often ask for the price of a cup of coffee, to let them keep going. I don’t sign up for anything but once in a while give them the price of a coffee, as I value what they do, here on replay I buy whoever’s lowest on my friends list chip count some chips once in a while, it supports the site and people need to be paid, I value and enjoy the site and am not a moaning cheapskate, also I don’t proudly boast about never having to spend a penny for your my fun, hang your heads in shame and get it up ye as we say in Scotland :stuck_out_tongue:
But that’s just me )

I play this event seriously, if I wanted the computer to be in charge of the game it would be somewhere else, When in 9 player games, trips, and full house comes out at least 3 times in an hour, that’s not poker. If you have to be afraid to bid with 2 pair, because of trips, it isn’t worth playing, I play for chips, I don’t want to be ripped off so the site can make money. Beat me on the true odds…

An ios version that work!

Hi das,

that’s a really eloquent, well thought out post

…but…

as much as I’m sure the Replay staff appreciate the positive feedback, and they deserve it, ultimately it’s addressing the dislikes that will drive the site forward. I get that you were trying to encourage people to financially support Replay rather than deter criticism, but I fear you may have been much more successful at the later.
To address that, I have the following nitpicks/suggestions

  • Solid color deck - the only deck anyone uses if a site offers it
  • Pleasant rather than realistic sounds - why does every poker site feel the need to replicate two of the most irritating sounds ever. You have infinitely many other options.
  • Bigger font for pot/bet size - I don’t need to see the actual chips stacked up, use that space instead for a larger font

I don’t think any of those should be the default, someone coming in whose only seen poker on the TV probably wants an experience that make it feel “real”, but it would great if we had the option. Things that actually affect gameplay and would probably make people better poker players:

  • More buttons for bet sizes. All-in isn’t needed, (you can just move the slide far right), but 33%, 75%, 125% or thereabouts would be welcome additions)

  • The buttons for pre-flop sizes should be in big blinds, 2, 2.5, 3, not 1/2 pot, pot, etc.

  • Time bank - If the time bank fills based on how quickly people act, it gives people an incentive to act quickly when they have a trivial decision, but also time to fully contemplate difficult decisions.

Cheers

It’s good for the brain and it’s free, lol
