I don’t even know why rank is an issue. On any given hand any player can win or lose. Ranks aren’t shown on the tables, you have to look for it, why even bother.
oh but lots of people do! so let me decide if others can see it…a simple solution and this conversation can be put to bed for good. That is all i am saying Craig.
They shouldn’t even bother looking. Why aggravate yourself. Replays Chip selling model is based on competition among players and rank and buying chips is in the forefront so I personally don’t see it changing.
Craig…
looking at all the community forums, you are everywhere and you are mostly the first one.
you oppose any idea which could make ReplayPoker better.
how do you explain it ?
Nothing you’ve proposed in any of your posts would make Replay better. Your statement that high stakes players call every raise is ludicrous and isn’t one you can back up. Low stakes players are the problem with calling every hand. Do you even pay any attention to the other players? If you don’t like how it’s done here on Replay, get better or go elsewhere to play.
I’m a former Replay Poker Player Representative and I am always an advocate for positive change on the site.
I don’t see anything positive in your posts which @MinnowShark just outlined.
You’re new here so read, learn, post.
Stay positive!!!
I think what Colby suggested is a positive …it would certainly end this silly arguing
I’m afraid you are just digging yourself a deeper hole here. There really is no need for you to carry on spreading further negativity on the Forums.
Craig is one of the most respected members of the site and the Forums, there is no need to call him out with your nonsense.
@PeterPan4711 I understand your frustration when dealing with Hi Stakes players playing low stakes and bullying the game unfortunately this can not be stopped. IMO most of these players don’t have enough confidence in their game to play higher stakes. Probably purchasing a major portion of their bank (Which is fine it is what keeps the site running)
I see no evidence of u “spreading negativity” on the forum. U were simply stating ur valid frustration and it seems that u apologized when u realized that it was a pipe dream.
May I suggest u play some Mtts or Sit and go where u may feel u are playing on a level field.
I did see where @Craig_Anthony stated to u " The young lad @PeterPan4711 has only been here a few months so doesn’t really know much. You’ll have to excuse his philosophy here in never never land."
Please do not take that rude statement to heart. I can see that u have noticed that he is just an Old Troll with a bad case of the “Know it All ism” and “Better then Thow ism”. As @DogsOfWar stated that these trolls have smothered the forums and have caused many of his friends to stop posting and sadly he is not alone in his observation
He was asked politely to not troll Poker related subjects and to leave those to players that actually play and understand the game. @BeerEagle69 statement regarding @Craig_Anthony is off the mark on so many levels.
Best of luck at the tables
The Goat
That’s remarkably rude @goatsoup. I don’t appreciate you trolling me or speaking negatively of me. I guess you have no respect for Marine Corps Veterans.
Stay classy
Has Nothing to do with ur sevice Sir, which I thank u for.
I am in not speaking “negatively” of u as u did to @PeterPan4711 . Sorry sometimes the Truth Hurts and needs to be stated
You’re trolling me and now I’m done with you and your negativity towards me.
Stay humble if you can.
Gentlemen, please keep this topic on track, thank you.
Let’s be real here I am in No Way “Trolling” u
I was making a true statement regarding ur treatment of @PeterPan4711
All Good
Best of luck at tables to all
Hiya PeterPan
I think(always dangerous) when a high stakes player is punching below there weight, just try and use them as a cash cow, tighten up your game and wait for your moment, and take down a nice pot when you have the best hand, it will happen.
But when you do win a nice pot, just leave with your winnings, no reason to hang around in a ring game after a nice win, plenty other tables
Best of luck
Mark
I almost totally agree with you PP. It has been one of my favorite whines for the whole time I’ve been here. Big boys beating up on wee littles. But it seems that is a moral judgement and poker is an amoral game.
Large stacks and deep pockets can be used as leverage to permit bully betting, aggressive betting and make us risk our whole stack just to see the next card. Putting so much pressure on playing the game that it mashes all the fun out of it. The first time moving up thru the ranks it really hurt. I still think anyone that would do that just because they could needs much help. Like a high schooler smashing a basketball game being played by elementary school kids is the way I feel it. In this free chip space it makes no sense to me. For real money I get it.
Every bet we decide; is this hand worth it? From a min bet to all in it’s the same question for us.
I’m down 185 million. Should you listen to me? Should I be allowed to even post an answer?
PeterPan4711 I played you last night about an hour before you posted this and it’s all just you tilting, you have an aggressive play style which isn’t a bad thing, but when it doesn’t go your way you tilt.
I played less than ten hands in maybe an hour and this hand: #1039290147 while I was watching tv and playing extremely passively, at least far more so than I would in an mtt which is what I play almost all of the time, had anyone raised I likely would have folded. I even showed you my hand because of this thread to say that you probably made the right choice by folding, which if you wanted to you could choose to consider a win, you said afterwards that high stakes players are able to call anything like I’d done something wrong by calling 6blinds on the turn with an oesd and guessing right that at least one of the three players after me would also call giving me odds of 3:1 or better with 8 outs, that’s a call which has nothing to do with my bankroll, was I right to assume you made 2 pair from a rag hand? My advice is just don’t look at peoples ranks, don’t limp in with rags and never ever let people at the table know when you are tilting by commenting the way you did, you won’t turn the table against them you will only make yourself a target. It’s poker, play it.
Edit: could you imagine in a live cash game having to show your financial details just to be allowed to sit down, it seems silly.
STAKE LEVEL is part of the issue IMO.
I hope PeterPan4711 appreciates the sympathy. The stakes Level on RP is useless and meaningless and IMO very misleading for the average lower/med stakes player. PeterPan4711 has 126K and in one month could easily double chips & be a “High Stakes” player on RP. A player can easily play only low stakes and obtain HIGH “STAKES LEVEL” or simply buy chips to obtain, which IMO is ok but says what?
This is a suggestions and feed back thread. Personally I don’t care about STAKES LEVEL bc I know that it poorly/inaccurately represents what is says! I could only suggest remove it or improve it. Either way I dont care and unfortunately I dont think RP does either.
Who doesn’t bully a table if its profitable and Villains are not countering properly? To me strategy & BRM is more the issue, rather than saying I dont like this players rank & style and therefore complaining to RP.
Expressing feeling, ideas & frustrations, good or bad is the point of the FORUMs IMO. Should we be obligated to apologize for pipe dreams? Maybe its your point? No dreaming on RP?
I’ve said the same. The 9MAX 2.5k SnGs are fun, easy to win a little.
Yeah its sad and disappointing BUT its similar to poker IMO. Personally I almost never report chat on the FORUMs or on the tables. I prefer to pretend I’m an adult, and not behave like a child encouraging other children to complain.
If I dont like a players style I will either try to adjust my strategy or quit the table. If I don’t like a players chat on the table or on the FORUMs, I will either try to strategically engage or more likely ignore a player completely. I personally don’t see the benefit engaging with rude players, players that act like trolls or players that are negative etc.
My personal strategy with issues at the tables both regarding to playing poker and conversation on RP is based on years of experience interacting on the site. I don’t think RP has any ability to silence trolls, but I personally do have the ability to ignore them.
I’m rarely disappointed anymore playing on RP bc I keep my expectations at a minimum and play less on the site. Its a good compromise IMO…
My suggestion:
Low Stakes : - $ 500 k
Medium Stakes : - $ 1m
High Stakes : $ 1m and above
Why ? Because currently all stakes are mixed, high stakes play at 25/50 tables.
If a player has more than $1m chips, he should not play at a 25/50 table.
People can play whatever stakes they want, and who are you to limit them to certain stakes? I see people with not enough chips to make a full buy in on higher stakes sit in those games. Do you think they shouldn’t be able to play in those games if they choose to? You can only sit at a table with the maximum allowed at the stakes you’re playing, regardless of how many chips you have in your bankroll. This is just another ludicrous suggestion by you, and so far you haven’t made a single suggestion that many agree with. Stick to playing poker on Replay, or start your own free poker site where you can make up the rules you like.
