Player with High Stakes shouldn't be allowed to play in Low Stakes Tables

we as low stakes have some $50k or less and some players join with $900.000 or more. I had just a situation at the low stakes table Amsterdam 7, four high stakes players joined suddenly in. as they have no problems with calling & raising, they killed everyone, I could just leave…

I have reported this issue naming the nicks of these four players.

I guess it is a very simple programming of the system, that players with high stakes MAY NOT play in the low stakes tables. Vice versum, we as low stakes cannot play at their tables neither. According to the medium stakes, the admin will find surely a solution which everyone will accept.

The simple solution is to form your own table with your friends and set limits or start a league for low limits. Players here can play any tables they feel comfortable with.

The better solution is to form your own table with your friends and set limits or start a league for low limits when you have high stakes, then we can play with all our “low stakes” friends without getting raised & reraised by high stakes players. Some weeks later we can so reach the high stakes level as you.
Players here should NOT play any tables they feel comfortable with, that is the point.

Actually the point is some players like me like to play poker with my friends that play at low stakes tables not interested in winning but rather enjoying our chat and a leisurely game. Another reason why I play in leagues. It’s the comradery of it all.

I have found that most high rollers don’t bully at lower stakes…i saidi most lol. I would like to point out we live in a free country and for th most part we let people (players) choose where they want to play and what stakes. Like Craig said it is the social aspects that draw alot of players to lower stakes …FRIENDS!

Having bullies with big banks turn up at a low-stakes table can be frustrating, but limiting or eliminating the freedom of choice is probably not the solution. Even casinos allow deep pockets at low stakes tables as long as there’s no abuse (like going all-in preflop every hand). More often than not it’s their kind of a “time-out”, or a way of playing with friends. You can always leave the table (which in this case would not be “quitting”), follow Craig’s suggestion, or report abusive players.

Going all in preflop happens more from players that are low stakes and new to the game than by high stakes players with experience.

When I started playing Replay Poker, I was always glad to see high stakes players playing at my table. That’s how I learned to improve my game and playing the cards dealt to me as best as I can. I thank them all and hope will to continue to assist us all in improve our poker skills!

While I understand your dilemma, many times the higher stakes tables are full and I just want to play.

I assume, as you started to play Poker, high stakes players were kind.
Today, most of them are like a locust swarm.
I know what I am talking about as I have low stakes and cannot get better as long as high stakes players join the table. Low stakes is defined as $50k or less, medium stakes some $300k or less and high stakes above. Low stakes tables start w max $2500, mostly lower.
When you raise for $250, it is a lot for you, but peanuts for high stakes players. They reraise with nothing; you cannot call them with only one pair. Some of them join and start w allin preflop and play this way for some 30 minutes. They can afford losing $200k; at the end they have their money back and disappear. There is absolutely nothing to learn from these people. Low stakes players need their own rooms to advance.
I guess, all of the replies here “please let us play in low stakes rooms” come from high stakes players. So, you may create another player account and start playing from the beginning with only $2500. Then you will understand what we are talking about.

Exactly. I look for seats at the stakes I want to play, and if they are full, I look for a seat at the first stake that is lower and so on. The only other times I play lower stakes is when I’ve had a few bad days in a row, then I play lower stakes until I get my mojo back.

I dislike people that whine about poker. I trouble winning realize you are not alone players of all stakes lose!
Get yourself a good poker manual or simply observe play at the tables from the attic lol.

Bad luck streaks last a long time most times …winning streaks a few hours maybe lol.
It is just a game for play money so don’t get discouraged. There is always someone with more chips than you or I but i find high stake players don’t bully that much compared to low stake players thinking a all in shove is the answer…slw and steady wins the race. At least that’s what the tortoise told me
GL at the tables!!!

People that do the most complaining seem to be newbies who join and then immediagely want things like banning all ins, disallow higher stakes players from playing at lower stakes, and complain that Replay is rigged, etc. Instead of complaining they should learn to play poker, but it’s easier for them to complain than take the time to learn the game.

Poker is a game of skill and chance. If you can not stand the heat get out of the kitchen! Learn how to play against all type of players. Skill will win in the long run.

That’s exactly what they do instead of coming on the forums, typing in the search their question. There is a wealth of information here about the game of poker.
