Poker players from all over the galaxy assembled in teams to compete in the first interstellar poker tournament called the Orion’s Belt Team Poker League. Teams arrived from every quadrant of the galaxy. Each team uniquely different from the rest but all with the same goal… to win the Galactic Championship. The most prestigious of all poker tournaments, each team set their sights on winning the championship trophy… Made out of Astatine, the rarest element in the galaxy with a half-life of only 8.1 hours, the trophy signifies a true mastery of the art of poker and galactic supremacy. Those lucky enough to hold up the rarest of all trophies will be immortalized throughout the galaxy. However fleeting, after the 8.1 hours of having the trophy in their possession, it will dematerialize before the next poker tournament cycle begins, thus launching the next quest, the next chapter in the ongoing saga of the Orion’s Belt Team Poker League. Then, perhaps a new team will come forth out of the dark void of space to claim the championship trophy and have a chance to shine brighter than the stars… Will that team be yours?…
Assemble your teams and compete against the best poker players in the galaxy! Choose a captain, a team name and a total of 3 (or 4) players. Captains will assign a group number (1, 2, 3) to each player on the team but can shuffle their players around to any group if they wish, up to 1 day before the start of each tournament.
Group 1 - Alnitak
Group 2 - Alnilam
Group 3 - Mintaka
The spirit of the RTC is alive and well in the Orion’s Belt Team Poker League! Good luck and have fun!
Once you get your team established, submit a team name, captain’s name, and player assignments. A number will be given to each player by the captain. The captain will need a number as well, a 1, 2 or 3 will be assigned to 3 of your players (up to 4 players on each team). One can alternate in or be a substitute, or you can just play with 3 players; that is up to you. The number assigned will determine what table the player is at. If you look in the private league lobby, you will see three Orion’s Belt leagues, each one with a number 1, 2, or 3. Once the player is assigned a number, they will only be able to register in that league. Solving the (I am at the wrong table) that some leagues have, Captains will have the ability to reassign players to a different number or league up to 25 hours before each game. That is the chess part that will make it interesting.
I will be posting names of players looking for a team. I have some great players interested that have direct messaged me on Replay. I will drop a batch of names in here in about 8-10 hours after I field the morning responses in my time zone.
