No table chat from spectators in tournaments?

I’ve just tried to send messages as a spectator in the table chat of MTT tournaments (for which I’m not registered), but nothing goes through. However, I can send messages as a spectator on ring game tables. Can anyone confirm this or is it just me?

Yes , spectators can only chat in ring games for the time being .If you are registered in the MTT then you can chat.

Thanks for your quick reply. Was this announced somewhere?

This just sucks for private leagues or if you quickly want to send a message to someone you see playing a tournament.

Hi Everyone!

We apologize for the inconvenience. Our Team has to turn off chat for spectators in tournaments as a temporary measure taken to help curtail a persistent troll in the chats. We plan to remove this measure and allow chat again from spectators sometime next week.
