Last night I played in the last week 2 Marathon qualifier and I won the most useless prize ever, a week 2 marathon ticket which literally expired before I even won it. Since there is a marathon every month wouldn’t it be a better idea to let those tickets roll over to the next month.
Yea, me too. The bubble was 50, but the real bubble was 27. I was in the top 10 when the bubble burst, then took a bad beat on a big pot and eventually whimpered out in the 30s. Should at least be able to cash the ticket in for 500 chips or something.
Last nite it said that my leftover ticket would expire in 31 minutes. This morning it said 10 hours. A couple of minutes ago it said 14 hours.
Huh?
Maybe they are acting on my suggestion lol. Mine said expired 11/30 11:59 PM EST. I won it at 12:35 am on 12/1. Haven’t checked since.
That would be nice!! However, I’m afraid the answer we would get is the elimination of all Sat. scheduled Marathon MTT week 2 tickets from payout, which realy makes more sense for that months marathon.
I’ve had this problem all along. Tickets which say they are good until “whatever date” but that is after there are no games offered to which those tickets are limited. Also, depending on your time zone, It is still Saturday night and the tickets should be good, but it is already Sunday elsewhere and the Grand Finals start while I still have tickets good for Saturday’s 2nd Week. The other PROBLEM is that Sunday isn’t a good day for me to play and ALL THE MARATHONS GRAND FINALS are always, and only, on a SUNDAY. So essentially, why play Week 1 or Week 2, or Ever Play them At All? Since they make no sense Calendar Wise ? - This just kicks out anyone who can’t play on a Sunday out of the entire Several Week Tournament culminating in Sunday Only Finals. The Better Solution is have the Finals over 2 days, not just 1 Day only. I mean logically, since there are numerous FINALS GAMES and tickets to play multiple Finals, why not spread the Finals Out over various days of the Week, just like Week 1 and Week 2 ? Some problems are Simple to Fix, so I don’t know why they aren’t Fixed? Leaves me bewildered at the simplicity.
Considering there are 8 game each day there are alot of opportunities to use a week 2 ticket won on Saturday, hence the reason I was playing the 11:15 pm game. I seem to remember a couple months where the week 2 tickets were removed for the last game so it can be done, but really all you have do change the expires date to 45 days or so for all tickets won and they would carry over and make that last game ticket worth something.
Agree, it would be nice, but I don’t anticipate the exp date would be extended. Also would that also include any unused week 2 tickets a player may have not used?
If you win a week 2 ticket it should be allowed to be carried over one month. You earned it you should be able to use it and it really isn’t that hard to do (they charged the streak tickets from 7 days to 8 and set them up to be first out which they weren’t originally) and there is no downside as there aren’t any other 10K tournaments that take tickets so the tickets are only good for week 2 marathons.
Hi @southwestmba In some marathons I have simply edited the final Week 2 game to not give the 28th thru 50th players a Week 2 ticket.
I dont think extending the lifespan of marathon tickets to the next marathon is ideal, or even logistically straight forward. Different Marathons have different identities, so they dont always use the same ticket template.
It feels to me like people could hoard future tickets if we allow them to roll over and thats not desirable.
I will make sure that the last Week 2 game is not offering extra tickets.
