Is there a replay script that gives random players bad luck for weeks on end?

Hello

For the past week or so i keep on losing whatever hand i got, straits, flushes and full houses, no matter what, i lose.

Now i know every so now and then someone can have some bad luck but i just came back after a couple of months because then i had weeks of bad luck as well. At first i thought that mayby i chanced my play style and lost because of that but on the pay sites i still do well. Is there a script on replay that gives players bad luck for weeks on end?

Hi pokerkings,

Absolutely not. I know a run of bad luck can be extremely frustrating, but I assure you that’s all that it is. The Replay Poker team plays together once a week and even we experience the same ups and downs, bad beats, etc. I won our very first tournament months ago and haven’t been able to break the top 50% since. (arghs!)

It really makes no sense for us to try and manipulate the game in any way – not from a business perspective, not from a resource perspective, and not the least of which from an ethical perspective. We’re an honest group of hardworking people just trying to make a fun poker game. Hopefully your luck comes back around soon.

Cheers, Lesley

Bumping this to say I have noticed this as well LONGGGG streaks of terrible luck either in the form of literally not connecting with the board at all, or worse; endless coolers of things like set over set, straight vs flush.

It of course makes it worse when you give your opponent terrible odds to draw but they still call and somehow hit.

Then there are the players that are constantly shoving for 20-30% odds and they hit EVERY SINGLE TIME.

This site is rigged. End of story.

There’s no good or bad luck in my opinion.

It is called variance.

Using pockets aces pre-flop as an example.

You will lose 2 out of 10 times with pocket Aces pre-flop all-in.

So if you play 100 hands of Aces, you will lose 20 times.

So it is possible that you will lose 20 hands of Aces consecutively.

However, in the long run, after the 20 hands of losses, you should win the next 80 hands of Aces consecutively.

The main point is just ensure that you have enough bankroll management to lose the 20 hands of Aces consecutively.

Continue to play good poker and you will win back your losses and make profits with the 80 hands of Aces.

It’s much easier for the memory to remember losing hands then to process winning hands because of the way the brain processes them.

You’re a winner in the long run just for your persistence playing.

Be well…

Nail, meet hammer. (in case any doubt, the hammer here is Craig)

I still remember one time when I was about done for, so it was do or die. Shoved with A 10. One caller, also a guy desperate and about done for, but lo and behold he flips over 72o. Flop comes A 10 x, so I’m feeling pretty good. Turn 7. River 7.

This was over TWO YEARS AGO, and I bet I’ll still remember this ten years from now!

Ask me what my best win was two years ago. Yep - no freaking idea.

Losses stick with you and multiply in the brain.

About a month ago I had a ten day or so run of not being able to win anything, regardless of what my hole cards were and regardless of what my opponents hole cards were. I started second guessing my poker ability, so I started playing lower stakes for awhile until I started feeling better about my game, and now I’m back to winning far more often. I’ve also played at another free site that isn’t as good as Replay and experienced similar losses to players that play anything and lost the same kinds of hands to the same kinds of players. Players that can’t accept variance and that this happens everywhere they play always say the same thing, “This site is rigged.”

I disagree, if a roulette wheel hits 0 20 times in a row a rational person would conclude it’s rigged.

There’s normal variance and there’s what frequently happens on this site, maybe you simply haven’t experienced it let alone multiple times.

This is poker, not roulette. One is a game of skill with an element of luck. The other is pure luck. The comparison isn’t valid.

When speaking of the component of poker that is 100% luck, yes, it is.

You do realize that there is always an element of luck involved unless you have the nuts? I’ve lost a hand with AA flopped an ace and lost to a player who held 72o and the flop was A7X with the turn and river being 72. That’s luck, but doesn’t mean it’s rigged.

You either need to read more carefully or “speak” more carefully because you’re not making a rebuttal.
For sure you need to read more carefully though as you seem to have missed the points entirely.

Everyone that plays a lot of hands goes thru the same things you’ve gone thru. That doesn’t mean it’s rigged. My responses have been clear as a bell, but often it’s easier for some players to just throw up their hands and say they lose because it’s rigged than it is to acknowledge they overplayed their hands. Show some examples of the hands you’re talking about instead of just stating the site is rigged, and if you think it’s rigged, why do you play here?

Yes, clear as a bell that you missed the point and when pointed out you continue to talk about skill when luck is being discussed.

Skill doesn’t stop you from connecting with the board in any meaningful way for hours on every hand, played or folded. Again, as if hitting 0 20 times on a roulette table, it is just not in a reasonable realm of probability.

We have nothing to discuss since you’re discussing something else. Have a nice day.

How many times do you want to state you have missed the point? Let me quote this for you before I block you

The hand you’re dealt and not connecting with the board is LUCK.
Getting dealt set over set is LUCK.

How you play the hand and the result involves SKILL. You’ll note, an element that was completely left out of my statement. Almost like I was discussing the entirely the LUCK based side of poker.

Discussing winning 20 times in a row on roulette with losing 20 times in a row in poker is ludicrous, and you know it. Keep playing the way you do and you’ll continue to get the same results.

I think you have exhausted this discussion gentlemen, so I am now closing the topic.
