With only, days away from Christmas day, would you please share your most enjoyable moments of giving to others ?
Wife & I decided to teach our children to save a portion of their weekly allowance for providing for others in need. And the best part of giving for me was Christmas time, where we would go to the store that collected toys for the local community children and let them shop with their money plus 25$ each matched by us. We gave them the matching offering at checkout for them to pay and though always close to amount owed, we always had to pay a few more bucks. It was well worth it and as adults they continued to teach their own children to help other’s

What I’ve learned is that gift giving can be so many different things. Especially since covid. I love to pay someone’s electric bill, car insurance, babysit for a weekend to give the busy parents much needed time away. Send them to a nice restaurant where the bill is already paid. People have a hard time asking for help. I think this takes the pressure off of them. We really have no idea how much so many people are struggling.
Thanks for the reminder, people are really struggling in these times. Any small helpful thing for others has a big impact on them and other people they inform. Today the Wife & I picked up our lost pups ashes and had to grab a quick breakfast at a fast food restaurant to go. My bill was $10.54, I had money out and ready to pay & the cashier said the Lady ahead of me paid my bill. I wish I could have thanked her, so I told the cashier, I would pay the bill for the truck behind me, which happened to be close to mine, lol at $9.45. I wonder if he did the same for the next car? I hope the chain went on a long time and hope that one person/family that really couldn’t afford that breakfast paid the next cars bill, but at a much lower cost.
