HTML5 Table Feedback

I don’t get it either. It’s as if they brainstormed on how to take a good product and make it almost un-usable. I’d be pissed if I was a chip buyer and this is what they used the money on.

Glad you raised your voice on the Forum, Mario. It’s a good place to be heard and to share. Welcome! If you try the new format and find problems, I can personally attest to the fact that the feedback process makes a difference. Give it a try, in addition to expressing concerns here.

Thanks for 4 Q.I really think we should have 2 competently different sections for this. Tournaments/SnGs & ring games. I haven’t really had much trouble in ring games. It’s been a nightmare in SnGs with terrible lag. i have lagged out so many times its crazy. Really frustrating. Getting annoyed. I was told the new tables weren’t working well. Now i know. very frustrated & angry.

The last 2 games i played SnGs completely lagged out. I wen’t back to watch replay and what i experienced was very different. So i decided to try a new SnG and similar experience. It’s terribly laggy to the point i cant play a POT.

A few hands in tourneys experiencing terrible lag:

MrMosh took a long time to fold - but i think it was just lag. i think i checked auto call but im not sure. (call was insanely fast - assume auto call) i type lag on the flop as im struggling to play, and am subsequently forced to fold & sit out. This can be seen in sext hand.
Hand #580839848 · Replay Poker (Qh2h)

Keep watching & i continuously experience lag & forced folds. I previously beat MrMosh on a normal table, BUT the lag made it impossible to play.

DogsOfWar,
1st of all, Because all of this happens ( in browser ) , having 1 of the main lobies ( Ring/SnG/MTT ) open while playing on tables causes Lag, of these the SnG lobby is worst… So always park your main browser on a page that doesn’t auto update to cut down on that Lag.
2nd of all, The beta tables seem to use more CPU, so playing multiple tables will end up causing CPU lag to add into the equation. I have noticed it takes longer for my browser to accept a click on the new tables vs the old tables.

In the hand you listed , I watched the hand and all future hands. It appears you are also being caught up in the Sitt’n out Bug, because it looked like you were trying to play every other hand. If you read my last few posts you will understand what I mean about sitt’n out.

I have tried the 3 ppl SnGs on the new tables and they were no better/worse than the ring tables. I did notice while watching you play, that there is no status tab and currently I thought we got stauts even if it was a HU match. Bahia7 brought that up amd I concurr that Stauts for SnG/MTTs should NOT be in a tab , it needs to be like now and seen @ all times. Also Bahia7 is correct in that “sitting out” covers over a players’s chipstack and thats very very bad, on so many levels. Please Replay Staff, go back to the “grey” condition for players sitting out.

New tables or old tables, all players will experience less lag on tables, if they do not have thier main window on 1 of the 3 lobbies, park it on a non-updating page.

Thanks for feedback. I do hope they fix this problem. IMO it shouldnt be our job to micromanage. I always start with lobby open waiting for all players to join bc i dont trust RP notification. Its sometimes too slow to notify my game has started.

Yea when my timer run out it sat me out or whatever.

I was lagging really bad but its impossible to see from replay unlike old tables. strange

@Sassy_Sarah
Have you noticed about the chat box only displaying 4 lines of text? Seems rather inadequate & hard to follow a convo. Old tables have 6 lines of text which is sufficient. If i play split screen with new tables it displays 9-11 lines of text which is much better.

The details game in text box is poor especially for a MTT but insignificant for SnGs.

Yes Dogs,
I’m mocking up a pic to send in with feedback to dev team, but have reported that before… because now more information is sent by dealer.
In current format, if you take ( pixels ) and look @ the total size below table, to bottom of window… you can smush down the tabs without making text smaller and maximize vertical space. It would give you room for 6 lines of text, in the same # of pixels.

Another site, somehow was able to expand thier chat 2x lines , almost in a dropdown format that extended beyond the table borders… on a toggle on/off basis. The other better option , since tables are the only place to chat, is to relocate chat to the right/left side , full hight of window.

No matter what Dogs, 4 lines is insufficient I agree totally.
Depending on your PC’s screen resolution, will determine its size on screen.
My laptop/firefox opens old tables ~~727x638 , yet beta tables ~~907x759. The bigger pixel size is a prob for me. I wish they had developed tables the same size as we have now, I think there’s room for that.

Because old/new tables, resizing makes things fuzzy … having a good default size is critical to being able to read the text depending on how many pts the text is. That has to be matched to what the most used screen size is, then you can finalize Pixels, so that tables are also usable , when mult tables are played.

Thanks for response. surprising they still havent adjusted it yet. surely others have complained. yes its inadequate. my laptop is old but surprisingly 2 new tables split screen chat looked much better.

slightly unrelated. do u know if there will be an option to turn off table chat notifications. some players only play ring games with no interest in MTT. generally speaking thats me. i dont care what new tournament is starting or what player won.

thanks

id like to thank all testers including @Sassy_Sarah
ive appreciate all the time & effort real testers put into providing genuine feedback to help develop these new tables. im sure there are a lot of testers out there. i hope the end product doesnt disappoint and its worth it. :slight_smile:

Dog,

Look at the upper right corner of the chat box “show all” click on that and you have several filter options.

Lildevil

@lildevil109 thanks m8,
im well aware of filter bc i always start with all chat blocked. does it block nuisance tournament chat? i dont care what tournament is starting or who won etc.

Dogs,
This is the main difference between a app(program) and No-D/L.
An app shud be more uniform across platforms, while in browser will always adapt to how a players’s screen is. Case in point when you look @ the main lobby, rotate for portrait not landscape and it appears totally different. The tables tho should open smaller than fullscreen, unless you’re on a 5" phone

Look @ the progression of PC resolutions… 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, and now all the widescreen formats like 1940x1024 (guess)…

TV formats like 720 and 1080 do crossover to PC kinda, but my 10" tablet has a better resolution than my 15.6" laptop. Pretty sure my PC was 19" and 1280x1024, yet laptop is some wierd 1366x768 I think, and 15.6"

When you shrink something its more of a problem for readable text than expanding something. If I don’t stick with the default size, I’ll get a headache either from fuzzy text or stuff just too big on my screen.

If I could just list hardware in profile settings, so on browser detection tables opened most usable for my application, I’d be a real happy camper. I enjoy playing multiple tables, so if that goes away because of how big the window opens, thats a problem.

No to nuisance tournament chat. But that is relevant to the player. What do you consider nuisance
chat?

Hearing about a new tournament starting or who just won is irrelevant & annoying if im a ring game player and am completely uninterested in playing a tournament. It disrupts the chat log.

Ok ty. Being a public site and a public chat it is impossible to control chat as tight as you would like to have it.

player settings has options to turn off a lot of notifications. seems like it would be easy to add it in settings. seems like advertisement for something in not interested in nor will ever buy.

I am not a computer geek do not know how much labor time to set that up.

@DogsOfWar ,
If the dropdown Filter for chat worked as the ones for the lobbies, where each could be check’d off or cleared… you could just have

  1. Player chat
  2. Dealer chat
  3. Broadcasts

No different that selecting which Ring Levels I see in the lobby, so easily could the chat filter allow 1,2 or all 3 of those options to show. The dropdown gives you checkboxes that you select as a player what you want to see… Easy-Peasy
( yes muting a player or a spectator would are still just a subset of Player Chat )

@Sassy_Sarah
Not sure what your getting at.

I’m a ring game player. I have no interest in hearing about a new tournament starting or about who won what tournament. I would like an option to mute or disable tournament announcements permanently.

Can not do it permanently you have to do it every time you play a different table
