HI FOLKS.
Time to think about Season 7 of Jenny & Phil’s Dynamic Duos. We are hoping to kick off on Sunday 6th April (NOON ET) with closing date for nominations on Monday 31st March. Format will be determined by the number of teams entered. Please let us know if you wish to put in a new team or if your team from last Season is ready for another battle.
Please also let us know your team details as soon as possible, and we ask again that the team members be restricted to three,
If you are a new team could you please give us a copy of your team shirt as soon as possible, and if you are an ‘old’ team please confirm your current shirt is good or if you are changing it.
The shirt we have on file when the tourney starts is the one that will be used on our posters.
Scoring will be the same as last season, a point for a win (the win being last person standing) and an extra point if the team can finish 1 - 2. After the preliminary rounds, the total points will determine the team rankings and the top 2 teams will play the Major Final.
We hope to have playoffs for the remaining teams.
So get those nominations in. At the moment we have GrizzlyT, RiverRats and Deeper Purple registered.
Today’s Mr Monk Challenge saw FranklyI, goodFELLO246 and Doon101 finish on the podium after Mimi and Martinigal tried valiantly to throw them off course.

Another epic battle today, on table 2. One from each team in the last 4, with Munchers (Chuck) and Mentors (Billi) making the break. Munchers being last one standing. Congratulations to the winners of todays game, Monk’s Mystics.

And also a reminder about our Birthday Special tomorrow at 7.00pm ET. It is also our time to reflect on the lives of Phil and Jenny.
Forever Phil would like to thank all those who played in our Birthday Special today. I was unable to stay around for the completion of the game so my apologies but I trust that you all enjoyed the game.

This has been mentioned previously to some degree… Jenny and Phil’s Lightning Pairs will be one year old in May. With the support of all Organizers at Forever Phil League, I would like to have a serious but fun celebration for us all, simply because we will have collectively achieved this milestone together.
Please adjust your calendars and schedules to keep free the following day… Saturday May 3rd at 7pm Eastern. This is the day that has been chosen for a special MTT event for everyone of us and all of those who we know. There will also be something quite special set up for Lightning Pairs in May, exclusively for those who do play in those games.
We humbly send out an appeal to everyone among us all, if you have any artistic talent with AI or otherwise or if you know really good ‘stuff’ when you see it… then please either create or forward something tangible to us, something that could proudly serve as our logo/banner for the special game on May 3rd. Congratulations to Andre and Maja who both made it to the podium in this quarter’s last game of the Mr. Monk’s Challenge. The heads up battle between these two makes the fight between Achilles and Hector look like play time with play dough. Seriously though, this fn game made it to the first break. Unheard of. Anyway, after reviewing my Union Contract… everything that everyone will read beyond this ||| I am getting a very ridiculous overtime rate for. Just sayin…
Congratulations also, and more so perhaps, to the trophy winners in the first quarter of the Mr. Monk’s Challenge in 2025.

A very good win by Monk’s Munchers today and there was an overtime battle on Table 3 that was short and sweet after the break with a couple of haymakers thrown.

Congratulations to the Nomads, RiverRats, Bananas and Deeper Purple who all won their respective matches in today’s round of Jenny and Phil’s Dynamic Duos.
The Organizers at Forever Phil League wish to acknowledge and thank Piers [percyveer] for stepping in on short notice and pairing up with Tim [Whooshman1] to become “TNT”… DD’s new Duo Team, replacing Grizzly T which had experienced some rather serious ‘technical’ difficulties.
This is advance notice that Round 3 will not be played on Easter Sunday : April 20th… Round 3 and balance of the schedule will resume on April 27th and on June 1st the Playoffs will happen. A reminder will be posted when we get closer to the 20th.
As stated above the Playoffs will be held on June 1st. There will be three games…
Game 1 - 1st & 2nd, Game 2 - 3rd, 4th & 5th, Game 3 - 6th, 7th & 8th. Replay will be approached for add ons. If granted, the amounts will be different than the previous two Seasons simply because there are less Duo Teams, this Season.
Congratulations to 1960Royal and DangerBaby who finished on the podium today along with the guy who is now writing what you will later be reading. It was good to see some new faces… so thank you Tim and the most recent incarnation of Julie.
This is advance notice that due to Easter Sunday and that Holiday Weekend with respect to those that celebrate it… the Mr. Monk’s Challenge at 2pm Eastern on April 20th will not count towards points in the 2nd quarter, the game will be there though… with a decent amount of chips added on for those who wish to play.
Please note : that in order to keep a proper balance within the 2nd quarter of Mr. Monk’s Challenge, the points will not be counted for the game that will run on April 22nd.
