The final quarter of Mr. Monk’s Challenge for 2024 has been run and won. The winner of Most Points from best 12 games is Doon101, followed by 1960Royal and mimi65.
The Winner of Best Average Overall is HeyHandsOff, followed by 1960Royal and DangerBaby.
And Winner of the Most Knockouts for the quarter is 1960Royal, followed by Doon101 and Kondrad.
Congratulations to the Winners, and well done to all the participants.
And Good Luck to everyone for the first quarter of 2025.
Lightning Pairs … the first game of 2025, did not disappoint. First off, 29 of us played, which is certainly more than was expected. Congratulations to the Mentors who like last month, are beginning this month with a 9 point lead. Thank you all for playing and Happy New Year!!!
Congratulations to Monk’s Munchers on their win today, and thank you all for your efforts. Bit of a slugfest on Table 4 threatened to cut into my drinking time but it was a good battle.
I apologize for the delay in posting Saturday’s Just Jenny’s Jousting results. Health issues prevented me from playing and doing just about anything else, until now.
Congratulations to martinigal3 and WickedWarlock who both made the podium in yesterday’s Just Jenny’s Jousting.
.
Well. well, well, we now know that the Mystics have both bark and bite. Woof, just sayin…
Congratulations to the Mystics who handily won today’s session of Jenny & Phil’s Lightning Pairs. There were 31 Players today which is totally appreciated by the Organizers of LP and FPL.
A special mention for both Mike [Asuronetorius] and Brian [SILVERTHECAT] who each played their first game in Lightning Pairs. And both have proven that they are worth their salt already, just sayin… Tomorrow is another day.
Congratulations to Monk’s Fighters on today’s win. Some good battles as usual. And a good roll up as well. Thank you all for your participation.
With regard to Sunday’s games in Dynamic Duos aka the 1st round of Season 6.
Because we have an even number of Teams this season, there will be no bye games. This means that the opportunities for Players to sub’ in for other Duo Teams is reduced somewhat. But with seven of the ten Duo Teams having three Players each, the opportunity still exists for subbing, the only rule being that a Player, while subbing for a Duo Team, can not play against his or her own Team. Last season Carol [Ravenl] made herself available to sub here and there when there was no conflict with anything that she had going on. I can not speak for her availability this Season, this is something the each Duo Team will have to figure out for themselves.
Dan previously mentioned that I was ‘negotiating’ with Rob with regard to the Playoffs, what I can say to this point is that… this Season’s Playoffs will have a larger amount of add on chips, overall. Also, we are seeking payouts to everyone who plays in any of the three Playoff games. The Playoffs are more than two months away, I am not going to get too pushy at this stage of things.
Another cool and helpful feature this Season, thanks to Dan, is that each Duo Team’s schedule is listed on the LeaderBoard, this you will see after the games this Sunday are done.
The Organizers of Forever Phil League, wish all Duo Teams and their respective Players the best of luck, in Season 6 of Jenny and Phil’s Dynamic Duos.
Congratulations to the following Duo Teams who all won their first games in Season 6 of Jenny and Phil’s : Dynamic Duos… MONKEYzBUzINEz, RiverRats, Nomads, Bananas and the Twinners.
In Sunday’s Mr. Monk’s Challenge, congratulations goes to Chamallow, Uwe and Julie who all finished on the podium. I watched the final table until it was all said and done, high ‘quality’ play from and by all. On another note there were 15 of us who played today, like I said at the table… I do not recall the last time we had 15. Anytime there are two tables, it’s a good thing. Thank you all for playing.
Congratulations to the Mentors who won today’s slug-fest. It was tooth and nail stuff in the two games that I watched finish. There is now some significant separation in the month to date amounts. Two Teams will have roll up their sleeves tomorrow in order to tighten things up a tad.
And todays winners are Monk’s Munchers in a close result. Congratulations and Well Done to them. Also we had 4 full tables. Thank you all for your participation.
And I guess that is another frenzied week for the Captains out of the way. Time for a “coffee”.
Congratulations go to the Nomads, Snails, Lightning Bandits, Twinners and Deeper Purple who all won their respective matches today. And after the first two rounds of Jenny & Phil’s Dynamic Duos … the Nomads have the lead.
Congratulations to 1960Royal who not only won today’s game, but is also leading in points so far this quarter. Bravo to Fitski and HeyHandsOff as well for their podium finishes in that order.
Congratulations to Derek and Cathy who finished on the podium that way, respectively, in last night’s running of Mr. Monk’s Challenge. Further kudos to Derek who now has the lead in this quarter so far. However, it may be ‘short lived’ as the top 5 are tightly bunched. This coming Sunday the 26th… there will be a “reckoning” of ‘epic’ proportions. Just sayin …
Please note that although the LB results on the left shows " Played Wednesday January 22 2025" the game was actually played yesterday. I don’t have the energy now, to go back a fix it, so that it looks right.
Congratulations to Mr. Monk’s Fighters today who collectively did the deed that needed to get done. And now looking forward… with three games left in this month, all Teams are within 8 points of each other. This is the tightest it has ever been in LP so far, at the near end of a month. And I am glad. Things will get real interesting fast. Just sayin…
Congratulations to the Munchers who very convincingly eeked out a one point win tonight in Jenny & Phil’s Lightning Pairs. As can be seen… victory this month is still within the grasp of all four Teams. Next Thursday’s game will be very pivotal.
Hi All Dynamic Duo players.:
We have received a request about team shirts for the Duos and we think it should be open to all Duo teams if so desired. A team would like to wear a different shirt in different games throughout the Season.
The theme should represent the team and, in particular, the team name must be prominent and easy to read. The name should also be in the same position on both the shirts in use. This is to give thought to those with vision issues.
Please note, however, that the shirt first registered for the Season will be the one Admin will use on any posters.
Congratulations to Ad Infinitum, Bananas, Lightning Bandits, Twinners and Deeper Purple who all won their respective matches today. A supplemental congratulations must go to the Twinners who are now in the lead of Season 6 of Jenny & Phil’s Dynamic Duos.
Also please take notice that this Leader Board has been modified to now show all future games with who is playing who and at which table. This is shown by the information that is in an Olive green colour above each week’s game score box. Please extend any and all thanks to Dan [FranklyI] who made this happen.
Congratulations to Robby Roy~allllllly who somehow managed to do what was needed to be done in order to stay on top.
