ANNOUNCEMENT: The Beta Games are on tomorrow (26th) 7.00pm EST and for those planning to play please register through the FOREVER PHIL LIGHTNING PAIRS portal. Please register to ONE (1) game only. Your earliest Registration would be appreciated. This is to help ensure your Registration is recognised.
P.S. Remember, there are only 8 seats to each table and only 3 tables so get in quick.
Sorry for the lateness but the MC was called away and got involved with paperwork. Congratulations to the podium finishers, Skirmish47, Mimi65 and WickedWarlock. The MC missed most of the floorshow so doesn’t really know what happened but it looks like it turned out to be a bit of a skirmish in the finish. (that’s just sic, Dan)
Congratulations to our podium finishers today. Kondrad, CentaX and DangerBaby. Well done. Kondrad and CentaX made it to the break, had a quick recharge, came back and threw a couple more punches and that was it. Thank you all for your attendance.
Congratulations to today’s podium finishers, Timbo4, Josianne, and Dangerbaby. And a word of warning Tim, It is generally 'Take No Prisoners" here and the two on the podium with you are no exception, but sometimes we like to let the newbie win so they keep coming back and we can get their chips then. Even the usual floorshow showed restraint today. Thank you all for your attendance.
WELCOME TO FOREVER PHIL’S LIGHTNING PAIRS GAME #1.
What a fantastic turnout for our very first game. It was more than we expected. And was a very fast round of six table games.
Table #1 game win goes to Monk’s Munchers.
Table #2 win goes to Monk’s Fighters.
Table #3 win goes to Monk’s Mistics. This was our only full table this game. Well done all
Table #4 win goes to Monk’s Munchers.
Table #5 win goes to Monk’s Mystics.
Table #6 win goes to Monk’s Munchers.
That is Muncher’s for three table wins. Awesome, well done! The final scores are as follows: Munchers 36, Fighters 28, Mystics 20. Great game everyone. This first game took some scrambling but all in all was a fun game that lasted less than an hour which is what we wanted. It has been a lot of work to pull all this off and get it up off the ground. We can only go up from here. Looking forward to many more great speedy fun games with all of you. The entire admin team of Forever Phil want to welcome you and thank you for playing with us.
Doon, Jen, Dan, Julie, Jake, and Sam
I am including this brief update on myself since many of you have been asking. I did have a stroke about three weeks ago. What they found was a large brain tumor. I will be having a surgical removal sometime this summer. I am home from the hospital now doing as well as can be expected. Thank you all for your continued thoughts and prayers. <3
Hi… it is now time for a few words from me, [please don’t cringe] about how things went with the launch of Lightning Pairs Team Play today.
As corny as it may sound to some, this launch was a success because of, and through, teamwork. One person had a vision, five other people facilitated this vision to the point where 28 of us made it happen on Friday May 3, 2024. Or Saturday for our friends down under and those in other different time zones.
I would of been content with 20 or so Players showing up to play. To be just 8 Players shy of our League’s present capacity tonight, was and is happy days. There were no technical problems, hiccups or glitches. Everything went tickety boo. There was a mention of someone having ‘gas’, but nothing more.
I can only reflect on the play at my table and then afterwards when watching the last game playing, the Players at that table very determined, it seemed to me lol, to reach the break.
So I would like to know how things went at your table, if you are willing to share and have the time. I also invite any and questions and/or comments from anyone. I ask only that this be sent to me personally.
Thank you again for participating. Cheers…
Congrats to 1960Royal, Kondrad, and Fitski
