I was feelin’ silly and thought this could be fun.
Here are a few limericks for y’all. And to keep it interesting, you folks add the final line. Here’s an example…
I shoved all my chips in, pre-flop,
and ignored all the folks who said, "STOP!"
Between the turn and the river
I started to quiver
"Hey! He took all my chips, call a cop!"
-
In a tourney, I sat at the table
and wondered if I was able
to win more than I lose
and to still own my shoes… (your turn to finish the poem)
-
“Ante up!” cried the dealer, at first.
Then she dealt out the flop in a burst.
I had hoped to see Aces
but there in their places… (yep, your turn again)
-
I studied and practiced and played
and was awfully sure I had paid
all my dues to get good
but I sat there like wood… (your turn)
Have fun, y’all.
