I keep on getting a flush tease. Almost a daily occurrence. Sometimes twice a day. Anyone else notice this?
If you play lots of hands over the course of the day, this stuff will happen quite often, actually. As do straight draws. Sometimes there are well over 60+ hands played per hour, so you will see this happen far more frequently than you would at a live table where you’d be lucky to see 30 hands per hour.
Yes, even if your own cards didn’t count, you’d see this 3 times as often as a real flopped flush. If you account for the fact that your cards block a real flopped flush and unblock these others, I’d guess it is more than 4 to 1.
Frustrating but “ it is what it is “ with so many hands played per hour.
Discounting your hole cards, the 2nd card of the flop will match the suit of the 1st 12 in 51, and when it does, the 3rd card will match 11 in 50.
So (12/51) X (11/50) = .0517, which is just over 5% of the time.
As @Yorunoame pointed out, your hole cards can block or unblock specific monotone flops, but monotone flops aren’t very rare, so you should see them fairly often.
Well what is the percentage to have my hole cards match the table for a flush?
That’s the one I’m waiting for!
With suited cards, you should flop a flush (11/50) X (10/49) X (9/48) = .008, or just under 1% of the time. Suited preflop, you will flush by the river just over 6% of the time.
Unsuited preflop, you will flop a flush exactly 0% of the time!
Are you sure that with unsuited preflop, you will flop a flush exactly 0% of the time?

Go read the “The fairness debate” thread.
You seem to be suggesting that there is something unreasonable or unrealistic regarding the cards that you are dealt. All of your questions are answered in that thread.
A simple summation is that there is nothing unfair or unreasonable about the game that Replay offers. No cheating, no favoured players and no cheat codes. Whatever you see, good or bad, is purely and only a figment of your imagination. The “real world” part of Replay is 100% random.
Hope this helps.

I’m not suggesting anything at all, I’m just curious to see if this happens to others as well.
So far no one has answered that question.
I had another one after posting this…
happens to me as well. this also happens a ton. other day had pocket 4’s and no 4’s on board, very next hand 2 4’s hit the board.
I just looked at the lobby for 6max 1/2 games and out of nine games, seven were playing 80 or more hands per hour with 4 of those at over a hundred hands per hour. With that many hands you will see way more things occur that seem out of line with live game, but they aren’t. There’s usually only about 35 hands per hour in a live game. In a live game what you might see once in an hour at 35 hands per hour is going to happen more often if you are seeing 100 plus hands an hour. And when it happens three or four times as much as you expect, it may seem like the fix is in. I suggest the next time something you feel is an anomaly that you go to the lobby and see how many hands are being played at the game you are in and compare the numbers. Odds of being dealt AA are 1/220 hands. That means if you are playing 6max live at 35 hands per hour, that you will be dealt AA on average about once every seven hours. If you’re playing in a game that is going thru 100 hands per hour online, you’ll be dealt AA about every 2 hours.
just played a bit ago. I can’t tell you how many times next hand would’ve hit my previous hand.
I agree, that’s another phenomena that I frequently experience.
glad I not only one. if it would happen once in a while ok, but when it happens at a alarming rate, just feels like something is off.

One way around the problem might be to not play every suited hand, which you clearly are doing, because two of your examples involve rubbish, namely eight/three of clubs and two/three of clubs.
You quoted my question but did not answer my question.
That’s the only problem I see…
I’m not sure what a faux flush is still learning but from your screen shots I also get that usually giving top pair tempting me for a F/H got to stop chasing lol anyways Yes ive started getting it a lot
I don’t think your equation is correct. You are negating the fact that there are more players, therefore there are less cards (and possible suited cards) available. In this case there are only 46 cards available for the flop and your assumption that all 13 cards of one suit are in that is specious at best.
That is true, but it doesn’t really make a difference.
To illustrate this, let’s take a deck, deal ourselves 2 cards, then deal all of the remaining cards into 2 piles of 25 cards each.
If we hold 1 spade, we will know that there are 12 remaining spades somewhere in the 50 unseen cards that remain, so 12/50 or 24% that the next card will be a spade.
In a normal distribution, half of the spades will be in one pile and half will be in the other. So, in each pile, we should expect there to be a 6 in 25 chance that the next card exposed from that pile is a spade. 6/25 = 24%, which is identical to the 12/50 = 24% that we got earlier.
So the fact that there have been other cards dealt doesn’t change anything.
