Dealing With Wild/Aggressive Players

Fine, except that people leaving and joining tables alters the movement of the button and the cards that are dealt to each seat, so players likely held different effective positions while building their stacks, and the seat they are currently in is meaningless. There are plenty of other issues with your theory too, but fundamentally, unless you’re arguing that there’s something magical about where the players get drawn on screen, there is no such thing as seat one.

League O8 champion here - yup, trivially pure call

Sometimes, it certainly seems or appears that this is true but I think this is the reason the button keeps moving around the table.

Went back to the table out of curiosity to see what would happen…

Can I be profitable in seat one again?

Sure! You’re perfectly capable of playing O8 profitably

No. It is not a trend. It is a player tendency.

Here are a few synonyms for “trend”:

  • Pattern
  • Movement
  • Tendency
  • Direction
  • Current
  • Drift
  • Flow

Synonym: A word that has the same or nearly the same meaning as another word.

Obviously, it is ripe for confusion.

If you wish to push and shove the ultimate defining aspect, then of course, it is a

player tendency!

If you can explain trend and tendency being synonyms, more power to you.

It would be a huge or gigantic step if you get my drift.

You’re pointing to the ultimate defining aspect which is, in a way, healthy.

I have no problem temporarily looking in that direction.

That actually felt good!

Like a breath of fresh air.

Ok, now back to my normal programming. LoL

P.S. 6 1/2 Million is a very respectable chip Hight for Myself because I have never bought chips here even once, Those of You that buy chips in the Millions to repair your position here are only fooling yourselves.

@KILLMISTER I never bought chips either. I have more than you because I play more and I’m better at the game than you are.

Keep drinking that Copium, dogg <3

Let’s try this again to see if ring game hot seats exist on multiple tables.

City of Dreams2 - seat 4 has the most over top buy-in. (Johnny Socko)

Anchors Away2 - has double top buy-in also in seat 4 (Colorado Frank)

Ok… I know seat 4 is the hot seat

I’ll find an open seat 4 table

Played only 6 hands and won all 6

That’s two tables, what about the others? They’re obviously different seats, and it must have been a different seat on the table you joined.

I just check and on Anchors Away it’s currently seat 6, Dead Reckoning it’s seat 2 and Dead Reckoning 2 it’s seat 5, so way does that mean for you hot seat theory?

Also, none of the hands you posted went to showdown by the looks of it, and you’re only against 2 other players. Winning 6 in a row is hardly mind boggling under those circumstances.

I’m not trying to persuade against chasing what you think are hot seats, but I’m going to need to see way more compelling evidence than this to change my mind, so maybe this conversation has run its course in a thread that’s supposed to be about dealing with aggressive players?

When you click ring games, there’s a green box to the right with a table.

That’s what I’m looking at for the seat assignments.

I agree that this thread should resume its reason for existence.

I’ll continue on my own without posting results here.

Thanks for your contributions and sound logic.
