Omaha Omaha poker rules are based on Texas Holdem with these main differences: Players are dealt four pocket cards. Player MUST use two pocket cards and three community cards to make the best possible poker hand. There can be a maximum of 10 players. Each player is dealt four cards face down (the pocket cards). Then the first betting round begins. Rounds are the same as in Texas Holdem: Pre Flop – Four cards are dealt to every player face down, starting with the small blind. The Flop – the dealer lays out the first three community cards in the center of the table. The Turn – A fourth card is dealt face up in the middle of the table. The River – A fifth and final card is dealt face up in the middle of the table. The player with the best 5-card hand wins. Note: you cannot Play the Board as two cards have to come from your hand. For example, the Board is 10 J Q K A. And your hand is 4 4 A 5, this means your final hand is: A A K Q 5
many txs for ur help :))
Its a thinking game ashley, not bingo, less bluff then TH. What I try to say is, omaha can be surprising in the river. Or if you have 3A in hand, you probably lost the game bet wise. ofc you can bluff still…
( just change the headline, this way may other users find this question/answear more easy, I hope thets ok with you)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Flush Ace High?. Please help me understand why I lost this hand, is it because she held the King of diamonds and I had the jack of diamonds? I get confused when the dealer splits some pots and than a situation like this they pay one player and not the other, but when the hand is over the dealer reports both players have the same hand. Please help me understand how it works.
Thank You,

No such thing.
You have to use two, and only two and maximum two of your card from hand. Common misstake who play first omaha.
Hi Nashisin,
Is this the hand? http://www.replaypoker.com/hand/replay/87218641 If so, it looks like it was a Full House that beat your Flush, which is correct.
Dealer: Nashisin mucks Dealer: vadar wins 3,720 chips with Full House, Aces full of Fives
