Where I live, winter and rain are starting–the perfect time for simple meals of soup and bread. Any bread recipes, bread memories (another country, another era?), or recommendations for breads to try? (Asking for a friend.)
Winter in New England is all about the sourdough bread and real butter with any kind of soup for dunking

Giraffe bread has a very cool Pattern to it but it’s a lot of work. 2 different kinds of dough and then the stacking of the different rolls. I leave it up to my sister for Easter dinner lol.
Coolest bread I’ve ever seen! I have family coming next month. I’m going to make this for them. I will be revered (more than I already am) by niece and nephew.

I love me a good Irish soda bread, still warm from the oven, with slices of crispy bacon or Prosciutto on top.
