Is it possible for you or replay to boot players?
Or have someone in charge of each division that can contact the player signed up prior to game start? Or possible to have game delay for inspection?
Or an agreement from each player saying they will not enter wrong game?
Or A punishment for entering wrong game will be banned for 1 year?
Just off the top of my head, I will give it some thought & see if better options make their way to my brain.
That’s a really sad, and inadequate response from Replay. Anyone who develops software knows that if there’s a possibility a user will do something, some user WILL do it. It’s EASY to set up things in software to make it safe and friendly for users to do the things they are supposed to do, and eliminate any possibility of them doing something they shouldn’t be able to do. That they’re not willing to do this shows that they don’t value the user.
I guess that’s to be expected if they’re not invoicing you for the work, but come on. Expecting everyone to follow rules? Using the honor system? On the internet?
Are they requiring you to consolidate to a single league? Because if not, I’d keep the two leagues, to keep at least the amount of constraint that they allow, and just split Foals into upper and lower divisions.
As to how to get people to comply, there’s a few things you could do:
Change the buy-in amount for the lower tiers, so that the tournament points and chips won will be less. And on the leader board, only allow tournament points earned from games a player is qualified to play in. If they play the wrong division’s game, whether by mistake or not, their tournament points don’t count toward advancement into the next tier, and are instead deducted from the total they’ve earned to date in the division they are in.
If that seems too harsh, then maybe give them 1 warning, before deducting points.
That way, while you can’t control people and you can’t prevent mistakes from happening, this would at least give them the incentive necessary to voluntarily play in the right league.

Thank you both for your ideas. We may have to implement one or more of them to try to keep from “contaminating” our tournaments and leaderboards. In defense of Replay, I don’t know if they developed the software that we use or simply paid somebody to develop it, in which case they’d probably have to pay more for minor modifications requested by some guy running one of the leagues.
Perhaps we (as a league) should just give this some thought and address it again in 4-6 weeks.

Obviously Replay must have their hands full with getting the site off of Flash before 2020, and I have to cut them slack for that; still, there’s no reason they couldn’t allow a 3rd league if they can’t devote resources to dealing with league requests right now. I can understand them not wanting to allow too many leagues, too, but in that case it might be better to work within their constraints, rather than do things that cause potential problems like this…

I want to play with Badonk´s Donks , but it says only Golden Donks, where do I find the league for today ?
in lobby there is a drop down in upper right corner with your pic on it, If you are a member click your pic & go to league, then pick the league you are a member of, donk’s or foal’s
Wow - this is heavy stuff! Have to give it a lot of thought. Can’t really say Donks, Mules and Asses because mules and asses are the same thing. A cross between a horse and a donkey = ass. Donkeys are a separate species. So we could have horse’s asses, I guess, as a separate category. Would need a new photo to upload. Tis a puzzlement.
I think Flashlight’s suggestion is a great one - Big Donks, Little Donks and Baby Donks. Could all use the same photo with the wording etched on each one. I also like Pug’s idea re: playing in the wrong division. There is no real reason anyone would want to play in the Goldens if not a Golden - as the stakes are the same (I think). So you are going against stronger players for no increased money. Thus I think we have to assume that misregistration is by accident, not intent. Regardless, any points won are voided and the other players all simply move up. A second infraction = points voided and deducted and the third = expulsion. By then you have either a really unscrupulous player - or an ass. And, as previously clarified, this is a league for donkeys, not asses.

Hope I am doing this right, this is only my like 3rd time using this (but I am gonna try to be more active, again). Wanted to test out a theory. The last time I posted something, I placed in the tourny that night so… LOL
BUT: The real reason I am making this post is I finally broke my losing streak (on ring tables). At the end of May i had aprx 420mil, i dropped as low as 155mil. Then, over the last 36 hours accrued nearly 100mil which got me back in the Top 200!!!
Hoping to use this head of steam to secure my first Victory 2nite!
