I just wanted to tell all that after tonight my husband, Gulf Gater and I will not be online. We live in Cedar Key, Fl. and will be hit by the hurricane. We are in the bullseye. They are expecting a 12ft. surge, so most of the island will be under water. We are lucky that we live about 6 miles off the island, so water will not be our problem just wind. We will lose electricity. early so no phone, computer, water. If you are interested the weather channel is here in Cedar Key so lots of coverage. My husband said to send us candy, chips or any snack food, we eat when we are nervous. LOL. Can’t wait to play again, Leslie

DOTM SEPT 2023
Each month we recognize a Donk that exhibits excellent play at the tables, is a pleasure to play with and contributes to the success of the league
This Donk checks off all three and then some. This Donk is a charter member of Donks having started in July 2018. He has played in 365 games, has 100 final tables to his credit and has an impressive 20 wins. Hee is a multiple crown winner and member of the HOF. He would no doubt be a member pf the 500 club if it weren’t for an extended hiatus. He’s back and back with a fury…he is currently dominating the HOF leaderboard with 3 wins already. He’s fierce on the table, a true gentleman and always a pleasure to play with.

Thank you John and all Donks! I am honored by all you good folks…I have gone through so much great life transformation while being a donk. From studying hands and developing ranges to quitting that one time…thank you league for hanging in there with me! I really love this game for its challenge in staying focused inter-personally…I’m getting so much better at managing tilt and staying present for every hand. I embrace the variance! Nowadays poker is back in my life and it’s my main hobby again. I have been playing more live cash, both in the casino and online. So far my results are break even at low stakes…I’m currently taking shots at medium stakes sng’s and mtt’s. I really like the 2-3 hour mtt format, just like our games which has become a great place to experiment and exercise new strategies…As my bankroll grows I’ll be registering for larger MTT’s in the 50k-100k guaranteed range. Wish me luck!
My time supporting Silvers with increased attendance has been very rewarding. I’ve made many new friends and feel that weekly inspiration to keep my schedule clear to play often. I’ll miss them after this quarter as my volunteer time is up and I’ll be going back to Gold (looking for more crowns there for sure). So many great players in Silver! This quarter is really steaming up, I’m so stoked to be a part of this dramatic finish this quarter! Thanks Blackwidow for the opportunity, it’s been invigorating and a positive one, I really enjoy your leadership style.
From an old Donk’s perspective I wanted to chime in a bit about the league. I do think relegation of low Golds to Silver every quarter would be good; like creating circulation where there’s stagnation. When I was close to relegation in the past, it caused me to step up and get in there to hold my rank. A small tweak, nothing compared to how much traction we would get from all of us stepping up individually to promote and recruit. It’s up to ALL DONKS to keep the league stocked with fresh souls…let’s all commit to doing more! All those years watching Chuck Cox absolutely crushing it in recruiting has been very impressive! Ty CC, but we cant be sole dependent on one. When I read all the drama posts taking shots at each other I can’t help but feel how much wasted energy this creates. Use that energy to promote and enroll and encourage rather than tear down…don’t we attract more flies with honey than vinegar? Let’s talk poker hands and strategy rather than attacking leadership. Sounds good to me, I’m in!
