You had 6 outs (my pocket 55 vs your A9o). That’s 6 cards out of 48 with 5 to come. Not horrible but not in your favor. You didn’t even hit one and still got me when the river put 2-pair on the board and COUNTERFEITED me. I was 1 card away from taking 70% of your stack, dude. Again, a pure buttluck deal in YOUR favor. Smooth Felts Napkin
Congratz.
Another OLD saying-" you cannot lose money (or chips) you do not put in the middle of the table" love those aggressive (will not name) players who love just putting it in the middle then complain " the board was bad" n we win it:).
I’ve noticed that a lot of losers will always say as they are crying into their beer after the facts, I woulda coulda shoulda but the fact is you didn’t! LOL!!
Thanks, so now you’re giving me advice on my strategies??
Again, LOL!!
My posts here aren’t for you. They’re here for everyone else to see that the deals on Replay are just as lucky for you as for anyone else, so they know the truth every time that you whine about Replay not being random.
Notice that you haven’t ONCE actually addressed any of the hands or even commented on the randomness or luck of the draw. You have nothing to actually say on the topic. You just keep trying to troll me.
Please just refer to post 9 in this thread and the subsequent posts on who started the trolling.
I’ve never read a book on how to play poker except at the beginning; I think the book was called Poker by Hoyle or something similar. And I realize you’ve read several it sounds like. So, your attempts to show how much more educated you are than me about Poker has been coming across loud and clear to me for some time now.
Just show me how much whenever we meet up at a table, is all I’ve been asking in this thread with most of my replies. The others, I’m just having some fun with you.
I am fairly new to Replay, trying to improve my game (reading, modeling, playing, reviewing my plays, etc).
I experienced an initial burst (of luck) in my first few weeks on the site; followed by a few weeks of (seemingly) way too many bad beats.
Even though I was a couple million ahead, as an experiment I made a very modest purchase of chips (under $5.).
Immeadiately, things improved.
I realize such things happen in the Random universe, but it seemed fishy to me.
Thoughts?
I was driving with the top down on my Suzuki Samurai about 25 years ago, when a ten dollar bill flew over the top of the windshield and covered my eyes. I managed to remove it without killing anyone, including myself, and pocketed the free cash. For the next two years, I drove the Samurai with the top down, sometimes in the rain, hoping for more money to fly in my face. Needless to say, none ever did.
Still, if you’re not convinced, buy $20 in chips and see if your luck improves proportionately.
You are just one player having one experience, a sample rate of just 1, so impossible to draw any conclusions.
I will say that if you are inexperienced and you won a couple of million in your first few weeks, then that is a sign that you were playing a bit wild and getting lucky giving you erratic results.
It took me a couple of months to make my first million. There are many people on this site who have been playing for years and struggle to make or keep 10 million.
I am not saying that my theory is what has happened to you, just citing a distinct possibility.
