100k CONTEST POLL - Have you played live poker?

Every Saturday night. Me and some other old friends gather, a way for us to keep in touch.

I don’t hav a live poker table anywhere near me, plus I live in North Dakota so poker rules are crazy here.

this is the best poker site!

In Alaska there are no casinos

I play every Monday night. I like both live and online.Online helps me work on things.

I used to play in a poker league. I really enjoyed the tournaments. The 1st and 2nd place winners would receive gift cards or gift certificates to the place where we would host the tournament (usually a bar or restaurant). There was always a ā€œback roomā€ where we could have several poker tables set up for play.

It was so much fun! I miss it…I wish they’d bring it back…

Several years ago, while in the Marines, we played to pass the time, especially on those long ship rides! After discharge, I played in Sat. Night Poker Games at a friends house. He served food, always had you kind of cigs on hand when you ran out, had couches for when you needed to take 5, but took a $1 from every pot and another when the pot size grew over $20. Lotsa fun - won some/lost some. Then I got married … started a family and …!

Played my first poker tournament at Binion’s in Vegas and won $1500. Would love to play live poker, but am living on a meager Social Security dole that doesn’t permit that pleasure. That’s why I’m grateful there’s Replay Poker, which gives me the opportunity to play poker on a limited income with a maximum of pleasure.

I have played live poker many times and I still play. I like both - private games with friends and in casinos too. I also like other card games, and sometimes slots. Online is also great, I often play online on the phone with friends via video, and on rp. Both are great, but online has more time flexibility and that’s probably the best positive thing about online poker. I have been on RP for almost 10 years and I love this site, there are really good players and nice people here.

Live poker makes me a better player

I played live long before online poker came to be. I still like to, mostly just play tournaments. I was lucky enough to cash in WSOP senior event at Cherokee about a year ago, 49th out of 1000 players.

I used to play at company card games, and at deer camp.

Never played live, but the more i play online makes consider playing live. fully accept my chances of winning would be limited, but the thought of winnng gives me a huge adrenaline kick

I play live poker once or twice a year in Las Vegas. Playing on replay poker helps with my live game play. Live play can be bearable during the day but is usually brutal at night, weekends, holidays and special events like super bowl, etc. Aggresive poker play can morph into agression in all its ugly forms. That said, had a good experience at the new poker room at the Venitian/Palazzo casino.

I prefer live poker to on line. More interaction.

I sometimes play in live and tournaments at Lake Tahoe for a few days, before backpacking in the Sierra Nevada. Great place to get used to the elevation. They used to hand out jackets when you hit a royal. It is better than internet poker, for two reasons. First, a real human deals the deck (too many same suit flops on line). Second, there are far less ā€œall-in (idiots)ā€ before the flop, which improves the quality and intelligence of the game.

I like seeing the cards be shuffled in live poker.

I do not play poker for real money, because I do not know who is in the game with me. Too many times I play at this site, and players are congratulating each other for their Spectacular Play. Is that because they are in cahoots in the game?

Am much older now, and the weekly game I played in has long since ended, but all through college and long after, I financed extracurricular activities with winnings from live poker games. Replay is a lot of fun, make no mistake, but nothing matches the challenges and ups and downs of live poker.

My first time ever playing live, I took $100 (Canadian) to the table nervous as heck, 6 minutes and 2 hands later, I was putting my jacket on and a spectator! lol
