I learned poker from online sites, prior to that I played gambling card games in bars and this was sometimes was painful.
After a year or so online poker I decided to see if I had learned anything that could apply to real world poker in a casino and all things considered it went ok until a guy said something and I got banned from returning ever again.
Could of been worse, I like replay style where I only meet people in chat boxes, make love not war
Used to play live a reasonable amount, still enjoy the game when I have time
Iāve played live poker before (mostly cash games), and Iāve also won tournaments.
What I loved was having a good time with my friends, and live poker allows you to fully appreciate the game.
I played live poker for quite a few years. I made enough money working, so if i lost i would mourn that, but when i finally learned to play omaha and holdem, and the ins and outs of each game i won a lot more than losing. I learned from the best players on the west coast, and they taught me well about everything in those games, and being able to read online hands to win. A lot of people here either like me, but some donāt like me at all. If they harass me, they donāt know i have a degree in psychology and donāt back down to harrassers. I seldom get mad during play, and have a lot of tricks up my sleeve after playing poker for almost 40 years, and i still enjoy the thrill of the two gamesā¦
I play southern cross poker - by far the the best poker varient - with my brothers and sister every time we meet up - always played at home after sunday dinner and tradition continues .
I recently played live outside the family for the first at a famous casino in Londonās Leicester Square . Was slightly nervous but I found the people there very friendly . The standard of play was varied as online . They had comfortable reclining seats which was better than i expected had a bad beat Jackpot which you were entered if you lost with four twoās or better , . Overall a good experience but not something i would do often . n.b not being paid to advertise them - unfortunately !
too slow
I donāt go to the casinoās since my wife has passed but will be starting a poker gme here in our 55 & over park next snowbird season. I feel my past expererience will give me an advantage over most of the players.
I play in a casino or house game 4 or 5 days a week. O8 and big0 4/8 & 8/16 fixed limit.
Play live poker, one or two times a month
I used to play private on a specified evening (Saturday) It was called poor mans poker. Each participant bought $20.00 worth of chips, all that you could get. If you lost all your chips you got in every pot thereafter for free, but you couldnāt raise. This was a very social way to play and every entrant could play all evening even after they were cleaned out.
I just canāt keep a straight face when I get a good handā¦I tried it once with family and got QQ and I was beaming from ear to earā¦I just naturally laugh at things a lot, things trigger me off, the ridiculousness of stuffā¦no way does this guy have a poker face!
i played with friens at their homes and it was fun and i played at casinos but i was lpsing too much so i sort of gave that up but it was a lot of fun
Yes and replay poker keeps my skills honed
Yes if this counts? I entered 5 tournamentās on a 19 night transatlantic cruise. We had to pay an entry fee and it was 20 GBP. I won three of them 1260 GBP as I remember and have certificates to prove it. No one had ever won more than one on a single cruise.
allinhank, with live poker there is a different excitement, and most players play a little tighter knowing the money is coming out of their pockets.
Until recently I played most days but for about a month haven`t had the time. Hope to be able to play again late in the summer. Used to play daily at Replay but also has been very intermitent recently.
No, I havenāt played live but would like too. It would be exciting and maybe I could win.
Only black jack in casinos. Home games. āListen to the music of Frank Zappa.ā
