Play live at least 3 times a week much more fun than online we are lucky where i live 2 poker leagues and a casino
I learnt holdem live 20 years ago to join 4 guys having a weekly game with a 3$ lunch ticket fee.
I took it very seriousely and spent the whole evening before to read technical advice from internet and try to set a strategy to succeed, specially because one guy was overdominating others and almost always won.
And i had a lot of very good informations about hands to start, betting moves and their size, position at the tableā¦
ā¦that lead me to the idea iād never be able to apply it all as an absolute beginner that didnāt even memorized winning hands order yet. So i planned another trap thatās been pretty effective: try to upset the knowledge champ places on my right to help me when not involved, with constant stupid ātechnicalā remarks and askings i was trying not to laugh at myself. Itās been a perfect strategy, as he over bet on me hoping iād be impressed, but i knew he would and could bust him out. And i was so proud he couldnāt figure that was planned !!
I left it for a while, and started online adventure, where i could qualify several times for a free national championship live 2nd phase, but i wasnāt the boss: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kKR1rrjvq-I
Iāve been playing a few private games also, but my best performance was to win a package online to challenge any pros in a 1500⬠and a hundred players tourney. Had a hard long hours battle all day 1 with very poor cards but knew i absolutely had to survive for day 2, i entered almost the smallest of around 30 and 16 paid. I could double up two times with at last premium hands served, but brutally ended near bubble with AA vs K8 offsuited BB and future winner, flop with A but 3 hearts he had the king, turn heart, and no pair to save me with a full house.
I became a father a few monthes later, and totally left poker for 15 years until i came on Replay.
Lotās of tournament. A little cash in casinos. A couple home games.
Yes. More interesting.
I have only played poker with friends _ no real tournaments or anything like that - I couldnt take the chance of losing with my low income.
like both but canāt afford live poker at casinos. friendly games at home o.k.
Live poker or online poker - the principles and fundamentals of the game are the same. Some people just donāt want to play for money; nothing to do with being risk averse or not being a gambler. Just that they would prefer to play the game correctly and in the spirit of which it was invented.
Played WSOP in Vegas⦠and local tournies in southern Illinois.
I find that playing online at this site takes care of all my needs. Anytime of the day no transportation problems.
Yes I have played live poker but I donāt prefer it because it takes to much money to play it I think I would rather play with chips

live poker>online poker
muito bommmm!!!
Yes back in 2005-2007 I played live cash games 6 days a week
Yes I have
But not anymoreā¦
I play mostly online, but i do play live poker once a month.
Live poker rooms are not located close to Branson, MO.
Lost my first paycheckā¦
I like online play because itās faster and less likely to have a hand/game disrupted by player manipulation
I will one day.
