I’ve played both but it’s all about convenience, whether you want to be in the comfort of your own home or online. I really enjoy this site though, there is always an open table!!
Live is just so much more fun and engaging, and you can get real tells off people.
yep, online i get 2 play in my underwear—in the casino, i think that might be awkward lol:)
LOl:):):)…I usually never got upset even when i lost—once though-playing 7 stud of course, i had a house and said i have a house–some idiot guy says " 2 pair" and i start 2 take the pot n then he says " 2 pair of 6’s" and starts lol and i pick up one of his winning chips n hit him in the head with it lol–being i knew all the workers and practically lived in the casino, they just lol and warned the guy about being a jerk:).
I used to go to poker tournaments held at pubs weekly, stopped going as I used to win a few regularly, they stopped during covid and never really resumed. Is a good night out. I prefer online tournaments though.
I don’t need to put my money where my mouth is to know or prove my abilities and skill.
Some might not agree but the pleasure of winning online is enough. Don’t need to earn money this way!
hi guys i used to play live poker .won a few comps on sky.however there is no one to share the winning, when my friends do not play poker.i like to play in teams to share the fun and excitement ./there are still plenty of opportunities to still get the amzing tension and BUZZ from doing well
After I retired back in 2007 we camped out for 11 years, during that time we played hold um every Wednesday night and we had a tournament every week on weekends, I loved it but when I sold my camper and returned home that was it for poker, we have a casino about two miles from where I live but never got enough nerve to play but I miss it…
Played as a youngster for toothpicks. In high school and college played for small change to supplement a small allowance. Played for cash in laws school. now I can’t afford to play for cash. That’s why I love Replay Poker. It feels close go live.
No, but i want to play that kind of game
Sure I have. And I still do.
I started playing Poker completely falling for the “Moneymaker effect”, online and live, in 2003/2004. After a while I even started earning my rent this way (being a student at that time that was huge!!). But after some time I felt like I wouldn´t learn anything new any more and beating the local games on a regular basis, thus it became boring instead of challenging. And the closest casino was too far to go there regularly, so I quit playing.
I rejoined the game in 2017 after moving to another area, playing online and live again, mostly for socialising reasons. I visited a regional Poker Club regularly and played at a local casino several times. It took me about a year to reach a competitive level again but after that the results were good again, annoying the established players. hihi
And though I moved twice since then I kept on playing live and online. Even here on the island I found a small group of regular players. And my results in the SnGs & MTTs here are fine right from the start.
“Training” on this site seems to pay off though there surely are quite some differences between both playing environments.
Online poker for me is just keeping in shape for the live games
never have played live poker… i am too shy & i get too excited
Yes
I rather have the money:)
We had weekly games ( cash ) when i was a kid-one of the games we played was called " Indian " where u held one card on your head ( u could not look at it-other players saw it ) and we bet n raised etc…I miss those days:).
I used to love playing live poker because you could read people by there body language.
Was a long haul driver and stopped as often as I could to play in casinos all over the USA . Because of time concerns played mostly at truck stop casinos where Texas hold’em was only one table .
I much prefer live money poker but it’s dead in my state.
I would love to play live poker but I have no idea where I could do that. I don’t think there are any opportunities to play live poker close to where I live.
I would also LOVE to be able to play online poker for real money but that seems to be impossible because of where I live. Even playing online poker with no money involved is almost impossible, as far as I know this is the only website that isn’t ‘banned’ in my country.
