I’m just curious about people who prefer 9 seated tournaments rather than 6, what their reasons are. I personally don’t really like 9 seated tournaments.. At the beginning and middle stages of the tournament you are thrown around tables never really getting to know a player.. Not only that but generally 9 table players have more reckless shovers. I never seem to have fun at 9 seated tables. I play tournaments with tickets and all 4 tournaments within that ticket range scheduled that day were 9 seated tournaments.
Not sure but one advantage to full9s is if you are multi-tabling the action comes around a little slower so it is easier to play 3 tables at once. If you are multi-tabling 2 6-maxes and one of them is a fast clock, it can sometimes be tricky to give both tables full attention. Multi-tabling can get hectic if one of them is a final table and you get down to the last 4 or 3 players or heads-up. That one table can be very demanding at a crucial time.

I suppose I prefer 9 seaters due to my style of play, which is generally pretty tight, so I fold a lot.
One can have a wider range with 6 seats. You also don’t get blinded to death as quickly. Also if you need a quick break, it’s easier to set that up not being so costly. Of course I usually miss a strong hand when I take a quick bathroom break, lol.
