Can someone in your IT department explain why, if I’m the only person in a showdown with automuck, you haven’t fixed the problem where everyone gets to see my cards even though they aren’t winners?
Thank you.

Can u post hand numbers?
You only get to muck if a better hand has already been tabled. If you bet an get called you will always show. I guess there could be a “You’re good” button for when you were bluffing and can’t possibly win, but that would slow the game down and I’m not aware of any site that does this.
I would have to go back through too many hands to find the right one. I noticed the issue when I checked down a hand, then looked in the chat a few seconds later to see what the other players had. Everyone had mucked but it said that Pickettpocket folded 7, 10 of diamonds.
The only way I figure that happened when I didn’t have a piece of the board was that I was the only person in the hand who automucks. While the others dithered over whether to show, the system automatically showed my cards. Of course, that’s exactly the opposite of what I want.
I think your version of Maurice and Roy can run a sim based on that, but if not, they can look through my hand history to find a hand from a couple of hours ago when I had 7-10d.
Cheers.
You are going to have to find that hand number if you want some help with this. I am just a volunteer and I am sure support won’t be able to do much without a hand number. You can try contacting them though. Cheers!
With respect, you’re wrong about this. I call opponents all the time with the winning hand and they muck. It annoys the hell out of me bc I called. Still, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. My hand should not be revealed bc others are slow rolling.
Okay, so I tried going back through my hands to find it, but I’m afraid I won’t be able because of this. I stopped waiting for my icon to show up on the screen after seven or eight more hands. So, yay, two issues.
I don’t think I am. It was hard to find an example in your recent hands, because you play mostly tournaments and most hands that reach showdown are all-in long before that, but there is this:
Notice how everyone shows in that hand. No one has bet, so the first person to show is the small blind. Everyone else then shows in order, because every hand is better than the last.
If the big blind had bet and everyone called, the big blind would show first, then the lojack, then you with the winner and the small blind would muck.
If the player who is called isn’t showing first, that would be the error, not that all losing hands get automatically mucked.
Think of it this way - your hand can’t be considered a losing hand until a better hand has been shown. Hands are supposed to be revealed starting with the player who would be next to act once action is complete on the river.
You linked me to the lobby. Next time, attach the url to text, eg, how to finish dead last in a tournament.
Links to hands played always show the cards for everyone involved in a showdown. During live play, however, they (typically) don’t. If you want to see what a player had after they’ve mucked in a showdown, you play the hand back. This applies on tournament and ring tables. Test it when you next play.
It sounds like you don’t understand how showdown works in online poker
So, as far as the hand you posted goes, you are not there because you were not there, you were seated at another table at that time.
It shows as the lobby in the forums (because the forum itself is not logged in) but it is a link to the actual hand - and the hand number is in the URL
Only people who were actually seated at the table will see everyones cards in the replay. If you weren’t in the hand, then you won’t. Either way, the dealer text tells you who actually showed and who mucked as the hand played out initially.
Right, but the hand I posted and the eight that preceded it come from my hand history. I’m supposed to be there.
I can’t say with certainty that the table chat hasn’t revealed my hand previously. This is the first time I’ve noticed, but perhaps you could expand on your offhand remark.
You are correct, hand replays are supposed to show the hole cards of everyone involved in a showdown*. I have noticed this is not always true and I wonder if it is some kind of error in the system.
*this satisfies this rule from roberts rules of poker:
but like I said it doesn’t always work.
No, and no.
Every link posted in this forum that is not attached to text goes to the lobby. It’s been that way for a while. You njeed to attach them to text or the viewer will only be sent to their home page.
As for showdowns, you don’t get to see automuck losing hands whether you’re involved or not. You have to review the hand to discover what they had.
That’s not what he’s saying. When the action concludes, showdown proceeds in order from last action. Hands are simply revealed in order until someone’s hand becomes the winner. If the guy before you has a better hand than you, your hand gets auto-mucked if you have that option toggled. If your hand is better than the last guy who showed, then your hand will be revealed, auto-muck or not. If someone after you has a better hand, they will drag the pot, but your hand will still be shown to everyone prior to their revealing.
Ok, I guess. The world isn’t perfect, but how about my hand history being littered with hands where I’m not present? You have a hand number for that. Looking forward.
Not for me, they always show the replay just fine, but yeah hand links have always been hit or miss on the forums. I guess I’ll start attaching them to text.
I’ve never seen this not work, and I pretty much always replay hands.
Das is talking live, not review.
