Thanks for your story. It is very difficult as you know to ever lets our pets g, but at times its for the best for them. However Libby apparently isn’t ready yet. She woke this morning feeling great and back to her old self. Thanks and yes the day will come one day.

Willa. She is a rescue, they called her WilMa, but I dropped the M. She took to it right away, although I tend to just call her Puppy or Sweetie. She has been my constant companion for 4 and a half years now.

My Avatar picture is Steve The Poodle, he is a Standard Poodle and 80 pounds of pure unconditional love. I trained him and he received his Service dog certification at 3 years old. He is named after my only son that was killed by a drunk driver in Ft Myers Florida 18 years ago.
Steve The Poodle has visited over 5000 folks across the country always willing to let them pet his fluffy head. Folks at stores we regularly shop at know his name but not mine which is fine by me, when we walk into a store the workers always go “Hi Steve” and he wags his tail happily encouraging their attention. He knows which stores keep dog treats handy and sits patiently for a treat after we check out. If humans could only learn to be more like a good dog our world would be so much better.

My dog was a stray bull mastive I found. All I had to feed him at the time was tuna, which he loves.
And one of my favorite rappers is Charlie tuna, so I named him Charlie.

Thank you @Litenin for this post. I feel this is my favorite thread in our Community Forums. My avatar is our pup named Chipper. We gave him that name because he was the happiest pup we’ve ever seen when we met him. We lost him due to Congestive Heart Failure. It was more than 9 years of pure, unconditional love and I don’t think I can have another dog.
My son who grew up with Chipper convinced us our house feels incomplete without a puppy, so after a year and a half, we welcomed Louie in our home. My son named him Louie because according to him, he’s the new sidekick like Luigi from Super Mario, but he wants to change up the name a little. This is him during his first trip to the mountains.

Thank you so much for sharing your story my friend. Chipper was a beautiful pup and I know your family misses him and I know he will never be forgotten. In a way, I think it is a good thing your son went through his loss with you,. We all have to learn to handle those tough times as we want them pups to live forever but realize how short our time is with them in reality. Love the name and picture of Louie, he’s a beautiful pup also. Please give him a treat from me:)

My avatars names is Penny. She is a Bichon Frise’/Shih Tzu mix known as a Shichon or teddy bear. My wife and I got her six years ago when my wife began to have several medical issues that were not life-threatening but very painful and caused depression.
My father in law was a very down to earth man who always told his daughter and I to never be too proud to stop and pick up a penny if we saw one laying on the ground. After he passed away many years ago, my wife continued to pick up pennies and said this was her dad’s way of staying in touch with her.
When we found this puppy, she made my wife so happy that she named her Penny because she was the luckiest penny her dad ever sent her.
