Burton Cummings of the Guess Who has one of the most wonderful voices I can think of. Him & Turner And Bachman made the Guess Who, but When they separated B.T.O. is the band people remember, But Burton was the Voice the others just knew how to write catchy songs…

That Miller orchestra sounds like it was in mourning for the loss of its leader.

Glad you like it. Now imagine hearing it at an open air café on Ocean Drive. Alex would play his own music, mixed in with Ottmar Liebert and Andres Segovia (and others) in the evenings. Such big crowds would gather that it stopped traffic and people would be dancing on the beach. 1st time I heard him I was transfixed. 1 more original from him:
