What are the odds of this hand?

Second biggest, but alot of money for a game with a buy in of $100-$300 :).

Man, those odds are crazier than a three-eyed cat! If someone’s grinding poker for 40 years, seeing 3 players dealt the same cards might be rarer than finding a unicorn. But you’re right, that royal flush analogy puts it in perspective – all about the math, not the mystique!

Using simple math
This is for just 3 players on the table

First player has to be unpaired
94%

Second player has nine ways to match
0.73%

Third player has four ways to match
0.35%

Total
0.0025% = 1 / 40782

May I just remind you of the Community Guidelines:

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But, remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling.
  • Attacking a person rather than addressing an opinion.
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content.
  • Knee-jerk contradiction.
  • Gratuitous negativity.
  • Being sarcastic or condescending toward others’ ideas/comments.

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Thank you!
