Deff true! RP can print/produce then sell or give away as many chips as they want! But similar to printing out real currency “they” try to limit printing bc it devalues them, which I’m sure you and RP well understand!
Its strange bc IMO RP is printing/producing, & selling & giving away chips like they just dont care! I think RP is desperately printing/producing FREE chips and throwing them at players in the hope it satisfies the player base and retain players.

If I was the owner of a totally free poker site. I would definitely want to not only satisfy the player’s but encourage them to recruit others to my site. Agree printing real money is bad for us and our economy, but what is wrong with creating play chips for our entertainment, fellowship & Fun!!
I think of RP as an ecosystem - Rake and entry Fee. I don’t think RP as a company is stupid or ignorant & MUST care about the site and ecosystem long term! A replaypoker.com Short term strategy is not very beneficial to the site survival!
Everything has some value! Even gravel has a price to buy, the same as RP puts a price on RP chips to sell. We as people in society accept the value or not! Currency and values shift and are evaluated and re-evaluated! The evaluation might be fraudulent and fake but its still the price suggested until challenged or rejected.
I value real money and replaypoker chips as both fairly worthless so personally my interpretation is less valid. People, institutions, society, supply/demand place value on commodities and currency etc. Therefore IMO its not my value thats accurate IMO but supply & demand - a collective group!
If a company, scam or pyramid scheme is looking short term then YES! RP offered me 28M chips @ $99.99 several times for months and hasn’t offered to me again for a while. Why? Who knows? Why not try to keep selling me more worthless gravel I have never bought? Why not lower the price or double the chips?
What if i come to you and ask if you sell sand? You say no sorry we have gravel only at half price!
Tomorrow I ask for sand again, sorry ONLY sand: now at 75% off! What a bargain.
I want sand for a sand pit for the kiddies in backyard or school etc! Try a gravel pit for the kiddies! lol
You can sell only what the market demands and the customer wants!
As you mention the RP chips are created “unlimited” out of thin air! The creator still needs to have limits.
Imagine if tomorrow RP decides to double chips packages permanently and a month later double again, and keep increasing each month to sell more chips?
Now 1B for $50 next month or so 5B chips for $200 and in a year 10B for $300. You think everyone wouldn’t buy more?
This would IMO hurt the site very quickly whilst boosting sales/profits massively short term!
Personally chips are not worth buying, and probably never will be! Maybe if RP was to try selling sand or something less worthless than chips I might buy.
It’s the same as anything else in life. If people thought they needed more free air they would but more air. It’s the same thing here. If people thought they needed more free chips ( possibly to play at higher stakes) then they would buy free chips. Most people are here for the social aspect of the site. If they go out for a night it’s going to cost them some money, if they stay in and enjoy playing poker all night they might want to buy some chips.
It’s entertainment.
Also Replay is a business and a successful one at that. Buy free chips with no denominational value, What A Concept!!!
