The fairness debate

excatly… i grew up w/ a disabilty… but now the unger people now text… like this… im a man ahead of my time… kinda like niclouse tesla… and im ok w/ it… just saying… why would i ever corect it for you to appericate me…

I really haven’t been bothered by others spelling as I can usually understand their message. And when I don’t, I haven’t had a problem asking for clarification.

smooth99 … if your interested … friend me… and ill share the msg, wild man sent me… i understand why he is muted on replay … jazz by the bay cant talk on replay either… he recuited me for team pirate’s inn dream weavers… and i know it takes a lot to be permantly muted during a game… i was willing to over look the fact wild was muted on replay and give him a second chance… but he insulted me and un friended me… and i have proof…

No doesn’t rule it out. But there’s no reason to do that either. It seems beyond reason that a small team would ever rewrite the certified shuffle logic, let alone during a massive client update.

Even given that, if you actually had data from before & after the switch that showed a statistically significant change in behavior, I would agree that the two things would very likely be related. All you’ve indicated so far though is that you perceived a change that you assume happened during the switch from flash to html.

I don’t think that’s a coincidence either. It’s a proven fact that human perception and memory are incredibly unreliable and we’re predisposed to finding patterns even where none exist. We’re also generally stubborn b******s, and will gleefully accept any evidence that confirms our assumptions and ignore the rest.

I am of course no different, and won’t be changing my mind based on cherry picked hands, anecdotes or anyone else personal convictions. I would like to think it would be a different story if someone provided some solid data, but I don’t really expect to ever have to find out.

on a side note im in 4th place this mo… in the American open invite games this mo… habe played 52 games so far to get here… about 10 more games to go… but i will place top 10… looking to move up… its all about the tournament points, ask tomkat…

The conversion was done before the recent re-certification by a few years.

I’ve mentioned this before that my perceived changes were the unusual frequency of certain hands occurring which wasn’t happening prior. I brought this up probably after 6 months of the conversion. Actually, my very first post in this very thread was regarding this.

As an example, it hasn’t been just my imagination because I actually have observed one or several hands of Quads winning in almost every session when I played NLHE. I’ve never ever said Quads don’t occur on here, but I seldom saw it previously which was maybe a half dozen times a year and when I had them probably 2 of those times.

We actually used to say in the chat box (nh or vnh) whenever these low probability hands occurred. I seldom see those type of comments anymore it’s as if players are seeing it so regularly, they don’t do it any longer.

And? Re-certification doesn’t imply the shuffle/rng was changed, it more likely that the tests were just updated. Anyway, given that these thing didn’t happen anywhere near the same time, I don’t see how it implies they are related.

As explained before, Quads winning almost every session is entirely expected. If there was a change, your observations would indicate a problem with the RNG prior to the switch over, not since.

Where is your math, then?

Neither do I. ; )

My LAST word on this subject–this site is rigged when i lose—ALL skill when i win :):):):):).
