The Bingo epidemic

All in before the flop has its place in no limit

Go play Limit Poker and you wont have this problem!

I’ve seen you many times go all in or 3Bet ALL IN pre flop! This for me is sometimes frustrating bc I cant call when I know U have AK AQ AJ or better etc.

Getting upset bc someone like you chooses to bet ALL IN as NL poker is intended is a good problem to have! Adjust your strategy accordingly and print FREE chips, or just go play Limit Poker.

I can’t tell whether this is dripping with sarcasm or 100% serious.

A sequel to my post! You proably think that nobody would bring 5,000 chips to a 1/2 table, but I just came from just such a table! I won’t squeal on this idiot, but yes, it happens more often than you think! These are the rudest players and I would NEVER play with them!

And PS to WannabeCoder: I’m as serious as a heart attack! Look around the 1/2 tables!

Better yet, Fl poker ppl. can play, boring, BUT great if u do not like raises and all in’s:).

I went all in preflop once.

Afterward, I felt so dirty.

Truth be told, I still feel a little dirty.

In Ring games, if you leave with 5,000 chips and then return to the same table (I’ve been recently told) and I think within the hour, you will re-enter with your 5,000 chips instead of the max 400 chips normally allowed. I think they did that so players wouldn’t win a lot leave and then re-enter with only a 400 chip stack. They’re not cheating or doing something outside of the rules.

Next time you’re ahead, try it, I seldom play Ring games these days because I prefer the MTT’s.

I think years ago, if you left the table with that 5k amount and entered any other table for the same stakes again within a certain time period, you would be entered for the 5k amount.

Yes, to stop players banking their stack and starting fresh! I think its fairly standard on most poker sites to force players to sit with their original stack at the table.

I think you can possibly bypass this feature by logging out and restarting to bank and start fresh, although its been a very long time since I tried, so maybe not.

I never noticed that. That sounds like a bug/glitch if that ever happened. The 5000 as mentioned should only ever be specific to that exact table and NOT the stakes level.

The above screenshot above is two players abusing the system and breaking the rebuy rules.

This shows the second hand after both players go ALL IN with a full stack of 800 chips and 1 player wins yet both players now have the winning size stack of 1520. Things like this are extremely rare.

The system generally works reasonably well unless players can cheat and hack the system.

Indeed it does for all & when it happens, I consider it as a Great opportunity for me if I have the faith needed in my cards. However I would still consider where I’m at in position for reaching my set goal

You can’t bring more than the allowed buy in to any table, so you can’t bring 5k to a 1/2 table unless you were already at a 1/2 table and took everybody’s chips and the table closed down forcing you to move to another table or you sat out your table and then sat back in within a certain amount of time.

80% of the time you don’t win big pots off all in guys (at least I don’t) because you might have pocket Aces but the all in guy is going to river you with a set, or a flush or a straight ! its almost to the point where it’s predictable.

I don’t know about this. I haven’t been keeping track but I’m certain I’ve doubled up more than 80% of the time I’ve called them. You just have to be very selective. You have to know when you have something and they don’t.

Agree, but in free poker is still a great opportunity

I am so sick and tired of the lucky low stakes dumbass donks raising or going all in with mediocre hands and getting rewarded for it.

I’ve seen one doing it several times in a row in a Freeroll tournament, going in with absolutely nothing, ended up cashing in and then sitting out for the remainder. If that’s how they think poker is played, they are badly mistaken.

There are situation’s we may have to or confident & want to go- all-in. Limits would be a simple fix, but would it really be the game of poker? I still believe it is an opportunity for us to win big pots while helping/teaching the all-in, all the time players how to play the game.

There is a reason Pot Limit Omaha is such a popular game. I wonder if there were more mixed limit games (pot limit pre flop/NL post flop only tournament that has this is the 1K Bank roll builder) they would be more popular because they can at least limit the bingo play.

Unlimited rebuy events tend to encourage and feed this Bingo epidemic as well. You go all in with Rags you either double up or better with luck or you can double rebuy and double your stack and try again. There were 7 unlimited rebuy events in the RPOS League of Legends and one in the high roller challenge. Effectively at least triples the buy in and can go well above that. Not alot of fun IMO

Then it wouldn’t be No Limit.

There should be a limit on “ all ins “ but how do you enforce that? It’s allowed in Poker but here it is abused.
